Most likely boar, although I'm not quite sure in regards to most of the laws in southern states for hunting.

I imagine for pests most people would turn a blind eye, but y'know.

Since I and several other people own jeeps and we already do a lot of off roading, we had the idea that we'd just pop our doors and tops off and chase boar. I mean, at this point it really isn't even traditional hunting, it's just population control.

Well each state is slightly different in their laws but they all require you to either have passed hunter's safety, have a hunting license, and to have big game tags before you can just go hunt. Only a few states have laws where you can get what's called an apprentice hunting license, which allow you to hunt as long as you're within 10 ft of a person with a resident hunting license on private property. I hate to tell you, but hunting is extremely regulated on a federal level so unless you want to pay for an out of state hunting license ($800 +), your only option is to look into guided hunts. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it's likely your only legal option.

Since you want to hunt bear your options are definitely broader considering they'er virtually all over North America.

As a Northerner (Michigan to be exact,) we don't quite have as bad population issues with most animals, nothing as bad as wild boar anyway.

Been thinking about grabbing some of my friends together and vacationing down to the south so I can contribute to the population control.

A good example of this is the wild boar in the southern states. Hog hunting is so much fun and it saves millions of dollars of crop damage from mind you animals that are not even supposed to be here to begin with due to lack of natural predators in the area.

I'm from North Carolina, we don't have it as bad as SC but boar have been an increasing problem for farmers. bear, geese, boar, deer, they're all pests to farmers. I had to go scare up geese daily for a farmer I got linked up with in exchange for being able to hunt some his land. When I contacted him he (jokingly) said my group and I were the answer to his prayers because he had already lost 50k in crops.

User avatar #108 - manofbeardliness (12/19/2014) [-]
Humans aren't animals that act purely on instinct. For some reason people try to argue shit like this all the time. Hunting is horrible, damn humans killing and eating game animals with strict rules and regulations prohibiting them from doing detrimental damage to the total population all the while preserving and improving the condition of their ecosystems. Not to mention providing most of the scientific data to further understand these species and their habitats. Yea, that's totally comparable to murdering each other.

I'd totally be down for an mosquito genocide though.

Asking for evidence on a personal experience is a loaded question. I'm not going to send you a cited document on when I've personally witnessed neckbeards at work. I know a group of the douche bags who at my former school sign in for a private room at the library just to sit there and game for hours while hundreds of students are trying to look for room to study. Every time someone says anything they start calling rank and start bitching. Whenever someone mentions gaming they interrogate them and talk shit. They're walking incarnations of neckbeards, so yea maybe I'm a little partial to disliking them, but there are fuckers like this out there.

" PC gaming is a minority, more people are into console gaming than PC."

And here we have the uninformed opinion of a complete and utter ignorant.
User avatar #263 - buriedstpatrick (12/15/2014) [-]
Other than the fact that this content has nothing to do with making console players feel inferior, I like how you assume PC gaming is a minority. Quite the contrary. I bet there are more moms and dads out there playing facebook games, online poker, minesweeper, etc. combined with the hardcore PC gaming crowd to make up for the console industry.

You don't need to own an expensive computer to be a PC gamer - to be a hardcore PC gamer, perhaps - but that's not what you're saying. And then again, LoL and Dota can be played on most decent laptops these days, as well as games like Hearthstone, The Binding of Isaac, most 2D indie games really.

It's incredible how butthurt people like you get for no fucking reason, just because PC gamers like to share what makes PC games fantastic. If your consoles really are so fucking amazing, why don't you show us what they can do that a PC can't? Because so far, the new generation of consoles are just medium spec PC's with mediocre launch titles and aren't backwards compatible. Just because you can't justify your own purchase decisions doesn't mean we have to deal with them. It's your own problem, NOT OURS. And if you're happy with your console - FINE. Enjoy it. But NOTHING is holding you from plugging your PC to your TV and just not bothering with consoles.

Let us enjoy our objectively superior platform that lets us experience higher fidelity graphics, smoother gameplay, deep mechanics that aren't dumbed down to streamline a limited control scheme, more precise aiming, cheaper games, extreme modifiability, backwards compatibility, emulation, a vast array of input methods, and so much more. Stop being such a whiny bitch about it. Funny you make the Tumblr association, because you might as well just shout at us we should check our privilege, it's essentially the same you're doing right now.

Also, PC Master race is a joke. Anyone that believes otherwise has no sense of sarcasm and/or is 12.

User avatar #253 - manofbeardliness (12/15/2014) [-]
I don't bother because when I'm on my console it's usually a group oriented game or something laid-back to pass the time for bed. I mod and play games on my laptop when I have some free time every once in a while. That's when I play RPG and strategic games.
