Im not saying it was wrong of him to do this, he should have just done this at another location. The law was made for a reason, they didnt pull it out of thin air just because they dont like the homeless. And if the homeless gather in an area where they are being fed, would they not be more likely to sleep in public parks? While by the definition of it is a gathering, people have parties and actual social gatherings there, not just being in a park because they have nowhere else to go. I wouldnt believe anyone who would be more inclined to visit a park if it had homeless people living there.

If others can have a gathering at the park, then they can have a gathering inviting whomever they want, even the homeless.

I agree, the homeless are legally allowed to have social gatherings in public parks, but, it can also encourage them to stay in those parks, which i said above, is not why parks are created.

But the law should not go in favor of discouraging homeless people from sleeping there, because that violates the person's freedom of feeding them, which is more important.

You should be allowed to feed anyone in public, regardless of who or where as long as its public.
