you seem to completly forget the fact that France is/was the following:
1. Connected to Germany by land, for 450km (279.6 miles), unlike the UK and the US which both were isolated by water. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco-German_border
2. France had the Maginot-line setup but had failed to foresee a blitzkrieg tactic that simply allowed the germans to completly by-pass it, by going through the Ardennes, since the line didn't extend through belgium. If the line had extended perhaps the outcome would have been different, but as soon as they got around it, it was pointless. This was one of the 3 military positions considered by the french, among the other 2 is a more offensive strategy (as favored by charles de gaules). www.historylearningsite.co.uk/maginot_line.htm
Also, even if the french had lasted longer, there probably would have been as many if not more deaths, (since the french would then also have lost more troops)
