you would be offended if someone shoved broccoli in your throat

The offence would lie in the shoving, not the broccoli.

I guess the 55 police / emergency services no-go zones are just made up then. I mean, people in those professions are not used to dealing with difficult situations, and are just overestimating the problem, right? Probably the massive amounts of police officers quitting their jobs across the country is also just a myth?

They are quite a funny myth actually. The source of the myth is a report where they have gathered all areas in which a police officer has felt unsafe or uncomfortable. It does not, however, state that these areas are places where the police won't go for fear of getting attacked, on the contrary the area I live nearby, Araby (yes I know it's an ironic name for a place where a lot of immigrants have ended up living, it was called that way before they moved there), is one of the areas in Växjö where the police have the highest presence. Oh and one of the so-called no-go zones is the entire city of Enköping. Which isn't a very scary city at all and this whole theory is sort of starting to fall apart now.

As for the "massive amount of police officers quitting", most who quit do it because the job is too stressful due to there being to few police officers in Sweden, which is why they are now educating more police officers than ever before. But hey, what do I know, I'm just from here. Also, they already hire more officers than the amount that quit every year. Basically you're just wrong. Wrong, wrong, oh so wrong.

You need to wake up. Read avpixlat and the likes. Swedish media is full of lies. Norwegians are bad too, but no way can they be compared to the swedish Pravdas.

I read both norwegian and swedish papers to get different views. And the swedish ones is just not trustworthy.

Rape rates in Sweden is actually one of the highest i Europe. Also, you don't live in Malmö, do you?
#418 - madoc (09/28/2016) [-]
Rape rates in Sweden look higher because Sweden have stricter laws agains rapes and the amount of victims who actually go to the police is higher here than anywhere else in Europe. Since we have stricter laws more guys who commit what logically should be considered rape (for example, having sex with someone who's sleeping) can be reported and convicted. So no, Sweden does not have the actual highest rates of rape in Europe, that's a myth.

Lived in Malmö for half a year, it was great. Up in Växjö now, living next to a "police no go zone" that I walk or take the bus through daily. Nothing to be afraid of there.

Did you go to the site in the content?

"Jihadwatch" is probably not a very reputable and unbiased source.

Yeah but you check if that site has a source obviously.
#76 - dyelfagget (09/27/2016) [-]
The source is an equally sensationalist tabloid. I'm not interested in websites that are trying to blow something up and make it seem more.

I went and found a legitmate source myself www.foxnews.com/world/2016/09/25/turks-protest-assault-woman-who-wore-shorts.html And it wasn't a big deal. Both the OP and the source from the OP's articles are sensationalist tabloids and pretty untrust worthy. The Daily Express has even been refered to as a satirical tabloid before. It's like going to Salon and expecting decent reporting.

What do you mean it wasn't a big deal?
Your source FOX news topkek but let's ignore that has barely any information but still says it's a girl that got kicked in the face.

At what point does getting kicked in the face not seem like a bit deal? and I'm quoting from your source here.

"Cakiroglu confessed to attacking Terzi for what he called her "inappropriate" clothing, yet was released from custody despite expressing no remorse"

He even confessed yet he was released what part of these bias websites was wrong?
#87 - dyelfagget (09/27/2016) [-]
The issue is the web sites sensationalizing and making a something seem way worse than it was while not really going into what else happened.

For example they will use language that is ment to make it seem more intense and violent. They capitalize words like KICKED and such when there isn't a reason to. They try to immediately show some form of bias. Words like "Thug" and a lot of descriptors with negative conotations are used to paint very non partial view of the situation. They don't lie in the article at all but the specific language used is not chosen to be unbiased they have a clear bias.

I can't actually find the full story on the net. It says he was released but I want to know if he has seen court yet and if he just paid bail or something. The article from the op also places heavy importance on the crime itself and nearly ignores the massive amount of public support the woman got and the large protests of his release.

And yes this wasn't a big deal. It was one man commiting a single crime of his own accord. It happens not daily, not hourly, but every minute of the day several crimes of equivalent or worse nature are commited probably in his country alone. A chick getting assaulted ranks pretty low in level of importance on a global news forum.

Also Fox News is a fair bit biased in some regards but many times more relaible. If I see a crazy story about some Muslim dude doing something nuts in Europe like raping 12 babies or some shit I always check if Fox is running the story seeing as it would fit perfectly into their narrative. If they aren't it usually means the story is either fake or exagerated.
