It is, but the issue is to be truly healthy you need both proper diet and sufficient exercise. Schools only provide one meal out of the day to the students, one meal out of three doesn't make even much of a dent in the issue, so they figured "screw it, it is all on the parents."

A landmark court case very well could, but it would have to be one that could be taken seriously, not the idiocy of calling pizza a vegetable, which in all honesty was essentially a scapegoat so that they wouldn't be forced to put effort in to reforming the nations school nutritional plans.

youre right about that, but personally i think focusing on school fitness in PE would be more effective than school nutrition, as much as i hated gym class. after all, isnt it all about keeping US youth healthy?

Deep deep down at its base the pizza/vegetable one was actually about nutrition in school lunches, a relatively noble cause. However it reached a level of such ridiculousness that it didn't even matter what the original reason was.

That was about the tomato sauce on pizza, not the whole pizza.
User avatar #170 - vatra (05/05/2013) [-]
No, they considered the whole pizza on level with vegetable nutrition because of the tomato sauce.

That too, I just started tuning the judiciary system out for a while after that one.
