The first world war broke out in an extremely unstable european environment.
The second world war broke out, because Germany was crushed under the reparations the Entente and the USA forced upon them.
Hitler was able to take over, because the German people were starved out by the winners of WW2.

Now Germany is wealthy , financially and economicly stable and paying for the mistakes of some other European countries (e.g. Spain, Greece, Portugal etc.)

That's what I thought too but look at this way. All the people in the cool kids group are all English speaking countries. The cool kids in high school will of course believe themselves to be the best. That's what America is doing here. He believes his group is the best.
