Not really. People become emotionally attached to characters in novels, TV series, films, it would only make sense for a person to develop an emotional bond to a fictional character in an amazing story whom you can actually interact with.

Yea, Aeris' death is almost as famous as Bruce Willis being a ghost.

I would love her all the same, perhaps one day I will get a chance to play it.
