First off, we have as much history as any other nation in the world. We haven't had giant cities and towns for as long, but do you honestly think Native Americans have no history?
Secondly, art. I've never been interested in art, and I don't know of very many artists. But even I can think of one, amazingly famous artist that america has had. Walt motherfucking Disney.

Before you cry and say "but that's only one you can think of! I can think of x, y, and z right off the top of my head!), consider the fact that europe is larger than america.

I don't really know what use there is with the degree, but i know alot of people trough my work as a carpenter who have the degree and buys services from the place where i work.
