well a quick google search has told me that no one really knows how many have been killed, under sadam or cince. but looking at estimates according to some people sadam has killed vastly more and according to others the figures are relatively close. but like i said sadam had 30 years.
those celebrations were pretty soon after the start after the start of the invasion before civilains had really been hit hard. i think they were anyway, i might be thinking of that whole statue thing which was definitely soon after.

i haven't really looked at the figures but the number of civilians killed since the invasion comes close to the number of people he had killed and that is in about ten years. Sadam was in power for about 30.

I'd certainly be interested in seeing the figures. It's certainly plausible that more civilians were killed, but the question comes to mind: What happens if Saddam Hussein is left in power?

Fully. It still makes little sense with regards to the people of Iraq. He was a dictator looking to annihilate the Kurdish people. Look at his war crime charges.
