no, i mean before he restored it. if it really was a shelby all beat to fuck, i'd rather have that than the finished not shelby

So you'd rather have a car that's on the blocks than a working car?

lets try this another way, i would rather have a shelby in poor but repairable condition, over a mustang of the same year in perfect conditioon

dude being someone that actually owns a real Shelby (the one in this picture) I can assure you that my dads first car wasn't a real Shelby. it was originally a Silver Frost GT car that my dad heavily modified. What we did was bring it back to its original condition. Please do a bit more research before telling me I ruined my car.

That explains it. I was about to say, "Way to repaint a GT 350 from its famous paint scheme."

firstly i said if the car in the first image was correct meaning if that is not how it was when it was first purchased then the rest of my comment would not be applicable and should be dismissed, but i was trusting the image so i continued the comment. and second, how in the fuck am i supposed to research a blurry image of a scanned photo of a car that has no visible identifiers like a license plate or vin code?

Yeah, to put it simply, it's stupid, lol. But we don't build cars to be logical. We build cars to be unique and do what we love. Hell, I didn't even like this car until I put an exhaust on it, then it sounded good and felt ten times more fun to drive, and now it's all about the passion of making it go faster. I've got a '63 ford Galaxie and a '76 F250 as well, but I might as well have a cool daily driver too
User avatar #125 - thetom (09/26/2013) [-]
how so? that sounds like a pretty nice increase for a pretty nice price. plus just knowing you swapped the motor yourself and it's now awesome, is a great feeling. ive swapped motors in a friends integra and am planning on dropping a v8 in my miata eventually. It just feels great.

Because emotional attachment, lol.
Was my grandfathers car (Pic related, said beast) and he was always a gearhead (Hence this car being the sporty Ford Taurus), but I want to get the SHO (Super high output) motor and 5speed transmission and then I'll drop that in there to the tune of a 100% power increase (If I were to leave the motor stock. I'm looking at a jump from about 160 horsepower to 350 for the total cost of around $2000 and a weekend or two of my time) and then I'll have a monster of a car for relatively cheap. And it will still look just as unassuming as it does now.
User avatar #114 - lukewarmpigeon (09/26/2013) [-]
the emotional value makes sense but on a ford taurus the engine and trans swap seems almost useless, but to each his own

I actually have to wash it every day. I have fairly long hair and it's quite curly. When I go so much as one day without washing it, it gets really greasy and just generally gross...

Perhaps it's different for everyone?

And I agree. I hate feeling unclean...

Of course not, but those penises are not made to appeal to children; the ponies are

I would certainly say it does matter, the same way having a sex doll of a very young child would be quite questionable.

That's right, it doesn't, but it does make it very weird. The point is, the show and all merchandise are directed toward young girls, and it's very odd to have sex with something that is directed toward young girls, even if made specifically for fornication

Indeed they are almost always fan made, it doesn't change the fact they are fondled, nor does it change the fact those toys (and the show) is directed toward young girls
User avatar #20 - lukewarmpigeon (08/30/2013) [-]
i've seen temporary tattoos of penises and shit, you going to give those to children too?

i'm not saying it isn't wrong to fondle children's toys, but if the particular toy is directed towards adults then the subject matter doesn't matter. if you put powerpuff girls stickers all over a dildo it doesn't make it a children's toy. the toy was labeled on the site it was sold on as a sex toy. sex toy=/=children's toy

i never said they are dirty, a presence of ink lines in the skin gives the appearance of filth they LOOK like it its possible to be tattooed, clean and sanitary at the same time it just won't LOOK like it
