It (not when being smoked, but as an injected extract) rarely slows progression of some forms of cancer in rats, when injected directly into the tumor; however, it promotes rapid growth of cancer cells in some other cases.


TL;DR it is not different from chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Basically, it's using poison that's more poisonous for cancer cells than for the rest ot the body.
