There's a reason Batman always gets paired with Captain in their crossovers instead of Iron Man.
The fight would end a question they wouldn't want to end.
Like Thor and Hulk almost.

That's how I'd see them. They are genius' if they can avoid conflict they will. What better way to fight an equally rich opponent than where you're well versed?

I enjoyed this debate thoroughly

I will give you that one.

So yeah. I guess we're on equal footing. In a surprise bout, Tony has the upper hand. In a rematch, Bruce. But until someone does the correct digging and research, we still have no clue who would win. This is all just speculation of fans.

Yes, in emergencies. But what happens when the arc reactor in his chest is suddenly...drained from said emergency. He's be open to many different things. Batman distances himself from power to make sure he doesn't become corrupt. And Batman also has contingency plans for all of the Justice League.

But at the end of it...If we put Bruce and Tony in a room...they'd probably just talk about what cool shit they invented and then walk away with a handshake and an exchange of phone numbers.

The arc reactor can't be drained of energy as it's a reactor. It literally will produce energy indefinitely. (note, I'm talking about his most recent one comic wise)
that aside, batman doesn't trust magic, whether it's corrupt or not. DC and Marvel both have two ends of power spectrums: magic and science. the more science sided you are the less magic sided you are and visa versa. Tony is the exception.

That aside, batman has contengiencies based on observations over long periods of time. Assuming that he has had enough time to dig up information on Tony - which would be no issue because he's very publicized - he might be able to take him in a fist fight or psychologically, but the iron man suits are a closely guarded secret. Take the Iron Patriot for instance. Its specifications are closely guarded, even to the government that owns it.

Batman is less about making his gadgets and more about using them properly with his genius mind.

He's not much of an inventor, but he can hire inventors and use their inventions better than anyone else, so if you were to put Bruce Wayne with no gadgets and Tony Stark with no suit in an industrial pile of metal and tech, Tony would win. Tony Stark is the McGyver of Marvel, Batman is the Mentalist of DC.

At this point your lying to yourself.

Yes and No.

Bruce has 12 masters degrees. 12! That's a lot. And once again, remove the suits and toys, Bruce can still easily sneak around Tony and plan from where he knows best, the shadows. He's a detective after all and finding out a persons weaknesses are part of the job. Not to mention, he knows pressure points. Tony I think was taught in mainly boxing or just general disarming skills. I don't recall.

If Bruce got a hold of any of Tony's mental weaknesses he'd easily exploit them. Tony is smart, I will give him that. But there's no way he'd beat Bruce Wayne who has mastered EVERY SINGLE FORM of deadly martial arts.
#50 - justaredshirt (09/09/2014) [-]
Yes but how more smart would Bruce be if he stayed in school and went for 12 doctorates?

If we go purely by present day, Tony has been trained by some of the strongest martial artists in marvel's universe, not to mention a greenskinned super soldier. He also is one of the few people who can wield the god damned power of the universe's creation and destruction, while bruce is unworthy and unwilling to wield most magical items in DCs universe.

Tony has contengiency plans upon contengiency plans, not to mention the arc reactor - which can, if I recall, be used as a weapon in emergencies
