His name is not actually TR-8R, that's just a nickname people came up for him
Remember, Fin's number was FN-2187
Other stormtrooper number include FN-2199, FN-2000, and FN-2003.
It's logical to assume the spinning stormtrooper had a similar number.

All his life, people suspected TR-8R of treachery, and his name alone isolated him from even fellow Stormtroopers. As such, he trained every day, every night, waiting for the day to prove his loyalty to his brothers in white and black.

Then the day comes when a filthy traitor kills several of warriors that were just like him, with a lightsaber. He doesn't know how the traitor uses the lightsaber, thinking only experienced Jedi could wield them effectively.

He doesn't care though. He throws his shield and blaster without hesitation, and decides it is time. He doesn't do it to prove them wrong, he does it to prove it to himself.

So basically, I'm commenting on the fan nickname being TR-8R when he is the most loyal of stormtroopers.
