I'm just a guy seeking pleasure in the simple things of life. Grateful for the wealth I do have, thankful for the diseases I don't.

Don't aim to outshine the stars - aim to shine along with them. Unseen and yet adding to the beauty that is the world.

Besides that I'm also pretty cool. Yo.

Jaeger and Jäger are the same fucking thing, cunt.

Yes. And like I said:
It either Jaeger. Or Jäger.
But not both of them mixed together. Jäeger is wrong.

#224 - logiblack (11/05/2014) [-]
You might laugh, but that one is gramatically more correct than Jäeger.
Whilst ae = ä for Umlaut-free people what you did was basically Jäääger. A Jäger with a long pronounciation on ä.
but ae ≠ äe (following ä ≠ äe).

If we change the ä in Jäeger to the equivalent ae it would be Jaeeger - and that would be pronounced quite different!

I should probably point out that the "he" is more or less me when I did a bit of philosophy. And don't get me wrong I love philosophy myself.

It's just the smugness of people who've had one class and think they understand the workings of the world, because they can stump people with sayings like that.

The point is not to grasp it, but to see any value in it

Well, I see value in it. But yea - it does sound kinda silly.

He IS right that the human values and treasures the language far too much and holds it in too high esteem.

To what lengths does a human go to get a few false nice words? To get some respect and status in speech alone? To avoid being a bitch? To not become a douchebag? To not be associated with the right-wing? To be associated with some donorcircles giving food to some people, but denying it to others?

I agree. And give a shit - but one does not need to go around tell it to people not willing to spend the time for this. I like philosophy - it does sound silly most of the time but it does hold some serious meaning to it. And it doesn't actually help you in life but you feel you understand the big picture a bit better. It's helping to feel empathy. To understand why your opponent acts the way he does. It's not necessarily psychology you need to understand the people.

I don't really cold dogs, but nothing wrong with them. The worst part of this, isn't in the .gif. I would try what the gif shows, a small portion of course. She later covers it in chocolate bars and donuts.

Look it up, the creator is legitimately confused as to why some people hold the theory that he never killed anyone. He's flat out told them they were wrong. The point of the ending is he's too powerful to got to prison, his employers covered it up. I never got how anybody could think it wasn't real, either. What would the movie mean if it was just all in his head? Why would the lady in the apartment freak out if she wasn't worried about him fucking up the cover up? Why was there paint cans all over the apartment if there wasn't ever any blood? And what the fuck do you think the final internal monolog was for? He's saying no matter what he does he will never be punished. The whole story is a commentary on social status, which again, wouldn't make sense if it all never happened.
#34 - auryn (10/19/2014) [-]
Source on that, please, because I find it hard to believe. I've actually heard the creator said the opposite, and people who read the book said the ending is a bit more clearer there and said the same.

-The appartments where the bodies are supposed to be is all clean
- Paul who is supposed to be dead was seen after he was 'murdered' by someone else (Although argueably he could have mistaken someone else for him since no one had any real character or identity)
- Near the ending of the movie things get increasingly unprobable and over the top like a fantasy. (shooting gun at police makes them explode, cat in ATM, precision chainsaw drop down hall of stairs e.g.)

Another big hint is the notebook with the drawings.

And his final monologue was a reflection of his inner state of being, and in no way necessarily says anything at all about whether he actually did it or not.

I don't think the movie wasn't about power, it's about the emptiness of the shallow yuppie culture, about alienation, a social commentary on the meaninglessness of our narcistic self-centered ways and it's degrading effect on the mind.
