I doubt China, like Russia, would support them if they blatantly started a war, but the PRC would probably try to twist whatever caused the war into being our fault, so they could support NK.

China some ages ago signed a piece of paper with north Korea and has to, by this treaty, has to protect North Korea from any and all threats, even if it's the United States and allied countries.
No china has no choice unless there's a way to say "fuck you" to a treaty.
