If you have all the DLC. And they removed the Legendary Edition from Steam so you can't get all the DLC that way anymore.

It's funny to me that people think steam (and origin I guess) is the only way to get games. No one wants to own games anymore

"Oh shit I lost my Skyrim disc."

Now what?

"Oh shit I lost my Skyrim case, I don't have the code anymore to activate my game."

Now what?

I would rather have my steam copy, thank you very much.

That's not what I said dumbass. Steams terms and conditions say that you do not own any of your games. It isn't a matter of having physical copies but just buying it somewhere else.

I get what you're saying but how hard is it to not lose a CD or case? Just put the friggin thing in it's case if it's not in the system and keep the case on the shelf, possibly with other cases

I have nearly 100 steam games. Where am I going to put 100 bulky ass PC game cases, do I have to buy a new bookshelf to hold them all?

Of course not, I just use steam.

Alright, wasn't thinking about that many cases
But I mean I guess you could buy a bookshelf. Then again if the house burns down your SoL
But what happens if for whatever reason your account gets compromised

You can recover your steam account, it's not hard.

I have had my account compromised once, but got it back pretty quickly (a day or two). Getting your house burned down/getting your account compromised are about the same on the likeliness scale, so I they break even there.

However, I will agree: it does feel pretty good to have a physical copy that you KNOW will always have into the future. To be honest, I don't know if steam will be there in the future, or the games I purchased.
