You fold over the wick so it'll hold a small flame under in a little pocket like area, and then you disturb it and the flame goes back up.

Just wondering two things
1: What's the name of that
2: Did they ever fire it?
User avatar

1. Two guns were produced, Schwerer Gustav and Dora
2. The Gustav was used during the Siege of Sevastopol, and Dora was, breifly, used at Stalingrad before being pulled back.

Gustav was destroyed to prevent its capture, Dora's official fate is unknown, but presumed to have the same fate as her sister gun.

so im sure by now you have seen the other replies

so we have a giant railway gun, firing 80cm shells, decimating entire towns in a few shots, right?

now imagine it on land.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landkreuzer_P._1500_Monster

now imagine 20 of them rolling over the russian countryside

#24 - spur (06/01/2016) [-]
you thinking of the Paris gun, ww1 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Gun
that gun was fucking terrifying it could fire 81 miles(130 Km), and hit Paris from the front, before that point the allies thought Paris was completely safe.

Well, armor damage it might not have done much. Might just be momentum carrying it through the smoke, but it's any internal damage to the soldiers organs that worries me. Either way, really sinks in how on your toes you have to be out there

Nah, iv seen these things take 2-3x that explosion and the crew is normally fine.
If it was enough to send it like 10-20ft in the air, THAN i would be worried for the crew.
