My granddad has been smoking for 40 years he's now 65, none of the things you're explaining have happened to him, and he smoke joints ONLY.

No it doesn't happen to everyone, but if you happen to be unfortunate enough to be affected it was never worth it. The problem is people like you, insisting it's completely harmless because you study psychology and you're friend's-sister's-boyfriends-dad or some other irrelevant relation's been smoking for 100 years and 'never been affected whatsoever' or some other bullshit you're in no place to decide is credible. The fact is weed can be extremely harmful, just as in some cases in can be nothing but beneficial. It depends how you take it, what you take, who you are and the situation you're in. There's no straight 'it is bad' or 'it is good' but for god's sake recognise it does have a risk.

Tell you what, I'd never write a whole essay like that on funnyjunk if I was in my right mind..

I never said it was harmless, that would be ridiculous to imply smoking anything is harmless, all I'm saying is that it's not as bad as some people think, I'm sorry t hear that happened to you, but all I'm saying is that marijuana cannot give someone a mental illness, basically I'm thinking you alrdy had some underlying mental Problems already and Marijuana altered you're state of mind to A weaker form than what it alrdy was.

A mental illness is a chemical imbalance in the brain so anyone has the potential to get one, if weed happens to alter that chemical balance it has effectively given them the illness
