What exactly is it? A piece of 3D artwork or a screenshot of somethin? Impressive either way.
User avatar #28 - lexivex (06/25/2015) [-]
Thank you! It's just a piece of 3d art though it be fucking awesome if I could make a game that looked like that . I made it in a program called Blender, it's free in case you consider checking it out.

cool. I might get into 3D art soonish so cheers for that. Also, I think the game that looks closest to that would be Bloodbourne

Solutions for fireflies are always welcome if you can remember

I do have some ambitions. I started a while back so that I could make games. I had tried programming but it didn't click with me yet so I thought I'd do 3d. I liked it a lot and just kept doing it. Thought about going to art school but wasn't so sure so I lined myself up for computer science starting this fall. In the meantime before school, I taught myself python and C# plus made a few games with pygame and unity. Personally, I prefer working in 3d and want to do it professionally. I'm gonna keep at it and see how college fares. The programming and 3d go hand in hand at least so hopefully I'll get the opportunity to use both my skills commercially. I made a 3d print once via shapeways so I'm considering that as a way to make some small change with my 3d. Not to mention, I get my own custom made toys!

How about you?

Cycles and the post processing was mostly done with the node editor. There were some bits I had to clean up in photoshop. I also learned the value of playing with the f-stop on the camera here too in order to get the blurred out areas.

I want to do an animated film, and it would be cool if I teamed up with a fellow blender artist someday to make something really cool.

Unfortunately, my coder friends keep getting distracted with life, so i mostly have incomplete tech demoes with my name on them...

A couple things I could show you. Nothing too impressive, but they are works that I was left satisfied with.

Here is a (pretty cringey) car for a class lab that I made look nice.
Looking to get into modeling more. It's been really fun so far.
Though, my hopes aren't too high, the past year I've been struggling to find what is right for me, what form of artwork I can endure doing, and doing it professionally to live off of it.
#31 to #30 - qxangelxp (02/25/2015) [-]
Had fun with animation, but started to get really tired of it.

It was a hard realization because at that point, I had seriously thought it was my thing.
Hated doing the work. Stopped putting effort into assigments, despite class praise with the first few efforts

It really feels good when your instructor tells you that you are ahead of the class, and do great work, and wishes you luck.

The problem with me is, finding the motivation to do work. It's not like I don't procrastinate and **** myself over by ending up pulling all nighters the night before **** is due.

I have the skill, so why don't I see the point in pushing myself to get **** done that I know I can do?
#33 to #32 - qxangelxp (02/25/2015) [-]
I really do have fun doing the stuff I do.

Though I feel like I don't feel like "working" enough to get me to do my assignments when I should, and turn them in on time. I feel ill in not having the motivation to do things, even important things for my future.

Right now, it's 1:48am and I have a big sketch project due tomorrow that I need to present in class.
Haven't started.

Sorry for unloading on you, but yeah. It's a pain wanting great things, and not doing.
For these few things I've finished, I have boatloads of other unfinished projects I just abandoned out of disinterest, despite amazing excitement and visualization for the final outcome in the beginning.

hope you enjoyed
