-As a mod, you should remain neutral when talking to users. Don't get involved in user arguments, or be aggressive to users (obviously you can still ******** around with your friends on boards etc)
-Don't abuse any mod powers or show regular users deleted comments, or anything you need to be a mod to see
-Don't address admin on mod-social or ask him for anything personally, don't ******** on that board, it's mostly just for admin to ask for help testing the site
-Don't tell users who flagged them
-If a user is bitching about being flagged, just link them the complaint form: /moderation+complaints (and tell them to put admin in the name field)
-Don't unflag anything unless you flagged it first
-PM me your skype name if you'd like to join the mod skype chat
-Unless certain you should flag something, ask other mods first
-The stickies on /modboard/ contain some useful information
-If you want to start reviewing OC, talk to tridaak or yojo first
-If you want to mod the **** section (probably not necessary, not a lot happens there) speak to wrinklynewt
-If you use chrome, there's a useful mod extension here: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fj-modtool/ijdldpdghacgnjacajblibllhklhkdjj
-It's good to post a few content's here and there when you can (you can just find content on imgur)

(minus the watermark, of course).
I dont know what other sites you get your content from, but isn't it tedious to just copy and paste **** off **** and dump it here to see what sticks?

(08/24/2015) [-] Yes, it's quite tedious and you're correct that I do take content from iFunny as well as a few other sources. You have to understand though that FunnyJunk is more of a hub of content from across the internet rather than an "OC Only" realm. The content I take from iFunny is usually not original to iFunny and the content I take from imgur is often not from imgur either. Sometimes you'll see the same piece of content on iFunny, imgur, reddit, memebase, etc all at the same time and nobody knows where the **** it came from originally.
Look at the top 10 posters on this site, and you'll notice at least 80% are not OC content creators, we're content redistributors.

letting (08/08/2015) [-] It's always nice to be thankful to a community, no matter what you do or how much effort you put in. That's like saying an actor, singer, youtuber, etc doesn't have to be thankful to the people that appreciate their work.
I ain't kissing ass, just thankful that people actually take the time to thumb the content that I post. Besides, it's just a default message I leave on the more popular content, with a link to some of my video content that I produce. Nothing special.
