DDDA: Character Formulas
There is a point in the game where you will choose who you do quests for?
To not spoil things I'm just gonna say that you better hope you're gay if you keep doing quests for a fat old dude.
This sounds like important advice. Thank you for this.
The story does get better, yes, and the world you explore is rather large. In addition as you go you'll be able to unlock all the vocations, some of which are cool (Magick Archer) and some of which are borderline broken (Assassin). The fight with
is fucking amazing and has some of the best music I've heard in a video game period, as does the whole game really.
And since you're playing Dark Arisen, you also have Bitterblack Isle, which is a HUGE place with shittons of ultra-high level mobs to take on once you're a stupidly high level. It's great endgame content. And there's a hardmode, too! There's just all kinds of cool shit; play it, I implore you. It's worth beating at least once.
Ive just noticed such generic and silly/boring side quests. I think i really just need to focus on the main quests and quests i find interesting. I did read that you can accidentallt unintentionally get a shitton of quests on your quest log. I have some ocd with too much quest log clutter, and i think that forces me to do shitty quests. In skyrim i will literally run away from npcs to avoid adding more quests before im ready, haha. Or running away from Mr. Another Settlement in FO4
The message board quests don't really count for much, except as an excuse to explore the world. The real quests are given to you by npcs, though some are quite hard to find.
At the very least the message board quests get turned in automatically once completed. I just take them so that I get rewards as I complete them naturally.
Mostly true, though the majority of the item gathering quests require you turn them in. Protip: ambrosia meat means farming and sitting of those cows outside Gransys
