BURN?! Imagine the most perfect looking pancakes. Light, fluffy, and golden brown. We don't serve anything that doesn't meet those standards. And then you tell me that you want your pancakes "lighter". Okay, I understand that. So I get another stack. And then you tell me they "aren't light enough". Now my Jimmies are Rustled. If I go back there one more time, you are going to get pancake batter on a plate.

If it's as specific a situation as that, deal with it. I know some customers are the worst and I'm sure a manager would agree, but there is the whole stupid "customer is always right" thing. Sometimes life throws you curve balls.

From your point of view, perhaps. Why do humans converse with each other? Haven't I gained some momentary satisfaction by offering my opinion? Therefore it is not nearly as much of a waste of time to offer my opinion as to read several short walls of text, then have some revised opinion. I still probably would have said what I said anyone, no one really suggested anything along the lines of the sun expanding or the universe contracting.

There is no need for over-analyzing. You wasted your own and my time replying to a comment from more than 24 hours ago.

There is no need not to either. There is no need to do anything that doesn't provide you with food, shelter and water, actually scratch that, you don't need to do that anyway because you don't need to live. Point is, I'll do whatever I damn well please. "Waste" is a subjective term, and it does not apply to my time. I replied to it because this is my content and I was looking at the comments after coming back to Funnyjunk to see its success.

Well, you never know, medical science does some crazy things so it might be possible one day, whether they'd ever let the general public capitalise on it is another thing of course. I mean the world becoming over populated is already a growing concern... but often we learn new ways of treating people by studying other animals en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turritopsis_nutricula and look at this guy, a god damn immortal jellyfish, of course he can still starve or be eaten but whenever they feel like it they can reverse their body clocks and effectively return to their prepubescent state, imagine that, becoming 12-14 again whenever we please.

I am preaty sure the world can hold up double the ammount of people it has now
IF people stoped being assholes and actualy started caring about science
and made the dry desserts habitable . IT IS NOT HARD .
What you need is water ... we have the sea .. so we need plants that clean the water from salt .. but that needs energy ... in desserts we have HUGE amount of heat ..
Make solar power plants .. ITS NOT TOUGH PEOPLE .
The problem with this world is that the money is in the hand of the few unhuman people
that dont realy give a damn about the world .
AND FUCK BILL GATES .. i dont care if he donates 120% of his fortune .
If he is so smart and good he should make those plants himself.

Or, and just listen to this, hear me out, we could avoid the probably destruction of what little life exists in hot desert environments. Not everything is a "lets just do it."

We will never be truly immortal no matter how long we are able to live because the universe still has a number of events up its sleeve that will make the planet no longer inhabitable, and thus we will die. Immortality means unable to be killed.

Theoretically yes, but in practise no, not really, as I'm sure you know the liver repairs itself given time anyway, all we've managed to do is work out how the cells do that and speed up the process, if we sped up the process our regular cells have we'd just die quicker... In a somewhat cruel twist of fate it has also been discovered, (quite some time ago) that cancer cells regenerate in a similar way to the liver.
User avatar #6 - leanonwut (03/20/2013) [-]
Ahh yes. It would be a true advancement but a longshot. Things like this always remind me of wolverine and how despite the healing properties of him, he still ages and the cells wear out. I assume if we ever reach that point of technology we will only achieve the feat of longer life and not so much "immortality" since that is what I feel only possible in a spiritual way (if it does exist).
