I experienced no "dicking" by the current administration. At least we didn't invade another country entirely unrelated to the "War on Terror" because of "Weapons on Mass Destruction" that only ended up creating another terrorist group known as "ISIS" which totally and completely is a full on failure in the scope of "battling terrorism."

At least the current administration didn't fail so hard at fighting the war at terror that they created more terrorism.

That's what happens when they send you to fight a PC war. War isn't PC. Sounds like the air force didn't get cuts and SOPs like army/ navy/marines did. Most of my family is in the service in one branch or another. Not a lot of nice things said about the commander in chief. He's rocking a solid 15% approval amongst active duty right now.
#8 - anon (12/11/2015) [-]
Not to mention that the reason for the cuts is because there isn't a need for an inflated military force anymore at all. The military was inflated heavily from prior to 9/11 by a significant amount. When the need to occupy a country dissipates, so does the need to have standing active duty members. Of course there are cuts, the military never stands at a huge number when not actively putting boots on the ground in numerous countries.

You are so ignorant it is just pointless to even bother. "War isn't PC." What does that even mean in relation to starting an additional war against a country that had nothing to do with the war on terrorism? Afghanistan was a target. Syria should have been the next target. Instead the top 5 countries that actually produced the terrorists that attacked the US, the previous CIC went to Iraq and ended up just creating even more terrorists. War isn't PC, you are just mentally deficient if you think that is a blatant excuse to fight the wrong damn country.

I don't give a shit about your family, but you sit on the side lines and get information from them parroting it like its actually yours. The only reason some in the military don't agree is because they can't, they are hard right. "Cuts and SOPs" do you know what SOP is? Because it has nothing to do with cuts. It's simply Standard Operating Procedures which means not a god damn thing in any point you are failing to make.

The last CIC created the terrorism that everyone is deftly afraid of, everyone is cowering in their little terrified booties over, and the current one knows that going and bombing countries just creates MORE terrorists.

Having to check with command before engaging someone actively shooting it you is bullshit. But those were the ROE's in iraq and afganistan. Fuck you, sally prick.

You think I thought half my family going to war in Iraq was cool? That anyone with loved ones in the military thought it was great? Bush was a shit president. Obama didn't do anything better.

There is a standard Op pro for every active engagement you numb fuck, including rules of engagement. That's why if the guy drops his AK after unloading it at you- you can detain but are required to cease fire. That's how bullshit procedure was in the war on terror. Some pantywaist wanted to go to war without killing anybody.

Fuck outta here with your bullshit. Fucking cunt

1) the food stamp president
as a result of millions out of work during the great recession, a direct result of bush administration's management of the financial sector. has reverted to traditional levels as Obama's rescue of the economy took hold.

2) the race divider president
weird how electing a black man made all the racists really angry. hoocoodanode?

3) the record gun sales president
right wing nutjobs buy tons of guns as some sort of bizarre group solidarity circle-jerk- thanks Obama!

Name an event where a black guy being killed by cops or otherwise that Obama didn't immediately take his side. He chooses race over due process of the law. Even after federal inquiries charges were not filed in the mike brown case.

Now look at his reaction when known muslim extremists shoot up a christmas party in San Bernardino: "gotta stop mass shootings. We don't know anything yet about these shooters"

government debt exceeds bush's highest year every year obama took office except the first. Food stamps today have increased 45% since he took office.

Wow, you are dense. He pulled the US out prematurely leading to escalation of the syrian civil war, the rise of ISIS. He almost single-handedly destroyed a democratic government erected by 8 years of warfare and the deaths of thousands of US citizens and soldiers, as well as the injury of tens of thousands more.

We shouldn't have entered in the first place. Leaving early invalidated everything the soldiers fought for over there, and made the entire region even more unstable.

As opposed to bush took out Hussein and just made an entire country up for grabs? That obama's fault, too? What democratically elected government? You're just lying outright now... "We shouldn't have entered in the first place" was all that comment needed to be. What did the soldiers fight for? There was no achievement ever being made towards something that resembles a democracy except wasting billions of US dollars on it. And you're going to claim the war was a stable environment, so when he pulled the us troops out he made it more unstable??

www.cincinnati-oh.gov/police/assets/File/Procedures/12550.pdf
for example.

Cops can only shoot in defense. Shooting at a balloon is at best a safety hazard and improper use of a firearm. They can't just shoot because it might be a good way of getting contraband.

Your brain is pathetic if you thought I was putting words in your mouth. I was asking a question to get the point across to you that unless the cop is in immediate danger he can't use his gun. A balloon with drugs on it is not a danger to the officer.

so your saying black people and cops are both evil and you support the nazis? you are saying you are a cock gobbling asshole?

User avatar
#80 - lean (12/14/2015) [-]
Wow you are a special kind of stupid.

I have laid out the rules for discharging of a firearm. I asked a simple rhetorical question to illustrate that you can't shoot people for just breaking the law, but only as a means of self defense. As this is the only time a police officer can discharge his weapon, drugs floating away on a balloon is in violation of the code of conduct for the officer.

The fact that you either can't keep up or don't get how that question was related isn't my problem. The kind of person I am is equally irrelevant. You are a moron, and I'm glad you understand that now.
User avatar
#81 - pfccross (12/14/2015) [-]
I understand the whole thing perfectly well. The thing you seem to be misunderstanding is that putting words into my mouth to make yourself sound better is a retarded thing to do and isnt doign yourself any favors. It IS what you did and you keep trying to avoid that you did it.

"Should people be shot for illegal contraband?"

did anyone say it was ok to shoot PEOPLE? NO
was shooting PEOPLE ever on topic? NO

ok the very straight forward obvious questions are out of the way. So the last question is, why the fuck are you bringing it up like I implied that shooting people was ok? I didn't and you were wrong to bring it up at all.
User avatar
#82 - lean (12/14/2015) [-]
So why was the cop discharging his gun?

He is only allowed to shoot in self defense. Was the balloon a threat to him or others nearby?

Is shooting into the air safer than letting the balloon float away?

You assumed that I was implying you think shooting people is ok, because you would rather be defensive on the internet than understand the point I am making. My question illustrated the absurdity of shooting at a balloon when the ONLY TIME A COP CAN SHOOT IS IN DEFENSE OF HIMSELF OR OTHERS The guy wasn't a threat, obviously. Ergo, the cop should not be shooting. Do you get it now?? The question wasn't a suggestion of anything you said, it was a leading question where the answer was "No". Instead of following the lead you decided to get defensive about something you thought I implied, which simply wasn't so. Not my problem.

Then you called me pathetic so I decided to throw some insults myself, drag it out, and really make you feel like an idiot. Here's an implied "fuck off" for ya.
User avatar
#83 - pfccross (12/14/2015) [-]
Well you aren't wrong that discharging a firearm is a dangerous thing to do and perhaps unlogical for just contraband, but THAT was the subject. The balloon. The contraband. Shooting people was never a part of it and when you start throwing that shit at me you make it look like im implying something that im not and I'd like to think people would know better than to do that by age 10. The fact that you did fight it so long makes it even more childish. You should have been able to easily see what you did and just admitted it and dropped it. Instead you tried to carry it out. THAT makes you look like an asshole and a retard. Hope to god your parents died when you were young because I'd bet no mother would be proud of an asshole like you. You can make a point without resorting to cheap bullshit like that.

Honestly I only read the one comment I replied too initially, although I agree with most of what you're saying, most police have very strict regulations.

Most things here you seem to not get are called not being a cunt with a gun and there are very broad and incredibly 'no-shit' laws regarding the use of a weapon. Not knowing that these laws exist whether you have to think about it or not shows a complete lack of faith in civil sectors and an overall ignorance to the general idea of public safety.
User avatar
#51 - lathyrusvii (12/12/2015) [-]
Then, I've achieved half my goal. I literally have zero faith in civil sectors.

Shooting bullets straight into the air? Hell yeah that's dangerous and fucking stupid. But that's physics. I've observed judgements made against circumstantial evidence, and discrimination based on wild imagination, and nothing else.

My faith is laid so low, I really do have to wonder if these standards exist. These reasons are why I called the guy an ' armchair lawyer, ' instead of asking for a physical explanation; physics is easy. Law is hard. I makes no sense.

It's because "thuh fifty cal" has become a Hollywood/video game meme inspiring fear and awe. People are scared of things they don't understand. Liberals picture Rambo type figures running through Time Square firing an M107 from the hip, ignoring how expensive the rifles are, how rarely they're actually used in crime, how impossible they are to conceal, and how cumbersome they are to carry and fire. Anyone actually educated on guns would be the first to tell you how ridiculous/useless/unfounded a ban on .50 BMG would be.

The fuck is wrong with gas operated?

Nothing. That particular gas operated is the problem
Rod bending has little to nothing to do with cleaning, its a pressure/ design flaw.
The gas system puts too much pressure on the rod and not enough is transferred to the ejector, causing jambs. This is because of the weight and complexity of moving parts.

I'm not just making shit up. The Canadian part is because people think it's an American weapon. Winchester just bought out the rights and tooling, it's 100% Canadian. I have no issue with that, just making the point.

30-06 is old gold. There are better calibers for every practical purpose these days, for the same price.
Garand itself:
French Canadian design (not muricah)
exposed bolt locking (gets dirty)
gaps in action and many moving parts(dirty again)
Gas operated (ew, there are like a dozen problems with this one)
Operating rod weak (bends, jammed, needs a gunsmith)
3/4 of a mile trigger pull
Almost no flexibility in loading (150 gr max, milspec powder loads only)

For it's time it was spectacular. That time has passed, about a half century ago.

It's refreshing to see informative comments against this sort of annoying liberal stuff. Not saying liberal's are bad, just it usually appears that the end users are not aware of the side effects / consequences involved with some of this stuff.

Anyway, keep up the good work.
