It's cool. Just irritating when all these teenagers and kiddies on here don't know shit. Saying that when men produce milk it's an abnormality. We both have mammary glands, and we both and have the hormone progesterone, which encourages lactation. So how would it be an abnormality if the parts are there and can function perfectly? It's society who deems this as 'something strange', which makes men feel like they aren't normal, when they are 100% human.

So when men begin to produce milk, this ''abnormality'' would have been due to hormones, right?

Guess fucking what. Women don't produce milk their whole life. They only produce it for a few months after birth, guess why? Due to hormones.

SAME THING. Just because womens breasts protrude because they have more mammary glands and fat tissue doesn't make it any different.

Also, both men AND women can get breast cancer? GUESS WHAT THAT MEANS. They're both breasts, you tool. Women can't get testicular cancer can they? But men can get breast cancer ..... I think I've made my point clear enough.

Society generally makes preference, for example, in tribes it is not uncommon for the women to go round topless. That's their culture. However that's not the case in most of western culture.

If I'm honest I think tits would lose their 'awesomeness' if they were out on display all the time.

Men have nipples (the nipples are what make it nudity) because everyone is a female in the womb until the Y chromosome kicks in.

Male nipples are female nipples.

but when mens breasts develop into the state of being able to produce milk, it's a disease called gynecomastia. happens to all men for about 2 years, and then goes away, and it only stays in rare cases. men need a genetical mutation to be able to breastfeed, unlike women.

Breasts are not genitalia.

If they are then breastfeeding a baby is sick sexual abuse.

Just realized hes pointing with two fingers..who does that?
User avatar #106 - shazzshabam (08/29/2012) [-]
The breasts are not genitalia. They are means of giving nourishment to infants. Why is that wrong? Also, men DO have nipples/breasts, they only lack the actual mammary gland that produces the milk. Not really that different.

#144 - Womens Study Major (08/29/2012) [-]
They don't actually. Everything that's there in a female is there in a man. Give a man a large amount of estrogen and he'll start lactating.
#210 - shazzshabam (08/29/2012) [-]
My god. You aren't one of these that think estrogen casuses lactation?

So if you think estrogen causes lactation, then you must think women produce milk their whole lives, because women have ALOT of estrogen. Just because estrogen is more present in females, doesn't mean it controls every function in the womans body.

Progesterone casuses lactation. When the levels of it DROP, lactation occours, in BOTH men and women.

Please research before you try and argue.

And yeah, I completely forgot that 'everything that's there in a female is there in a man' because last time I went to find my uterus I found a goddamn NUTSACK instead.

Breasts are not genitalia. Genitalia are primary sexual characteristics like the penis, vagina, uterus, and other such things. They are erogenous zones and secondary sexual characteristics, but are not involved in the act of procreation itself. No comment on whether or not this is a double standard, I'm too tired to really form an opinion right now.
#110 - IrishGale (08/29/2012) [-]
perhaps then this is the origination of the burka?

Not muslim so not sure how its spelled,

The whole of the skin, especially for women, is an erogenous zone, so if the cultural covering of these zones is practice to the extreme, then Burka is one of the only ways to do that....

Either that or it is misogyny, or something else deplorable....

Or I'm talking out of my christian-turned-scientific-Theologian ass.
