Global Warming undeniable
Not everyone who doesn't believe in climate change is a denier, but people who are dishonest about the evidence are. You don't strike me as that. Also laser is an acronym, I am thoroughly enraged that you have chosen a z to spell it.
>Earth basically has a sort of climate cycle, alternating between high temperatures and lower ones.
You're talking about the milankovitch cycles, they're caused by a lot of different things, but they take place over hundreds of thousands of years. This change we're seeing now is much faster, taking place over hundreds of years. That's why everyone's so concerned.
How do we know we're the cause? Well the best way to look at it is to see which things have changed over the time period. Humans have industrialised, that's the big one. But there's been no change in solar activity and no change in volcanism, and those are the big factors that usually affect our climate. Normally these are balanced by things that absorb CO2, like plants and the oceans, but our effect isn't balanced and so it causes a rise in atmospheric CO2, and thus a change in temperature. In short, we know it's us because there's no other suspects, and we're holding the gun.
It's hypothesised that if the Earth warms up enough it will start to run away with itself. When the Earth heats up permafrost melts, and that released methane that was trapped inside the ice for millennia. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, so that would cause more warming and basically create a cycle of uncontrollable warming.
You also asked whether it's dangerous to the planet: not really. I mean at the rate of change we're currently experiencing it'd probably kill off most macroscopic life, because there's not enough time to adapt to the new climate. But the Earth would be fine, we're not gonna blow up or anything. It's just that bacteria and algae would be in charge.
