No, I have no relation to the Legend of Dragoon character. I'm truly sorry that you got your hopes up but really, it's just an all too spooky coincidence. In fact, I haven't even played that game.
As for my physicality, I hardly see how such a thing would be relevant to a virtual portrayal of my own glorified wish-fulfillment.

Hey, long time no see!
What's up, man? Did you ever get that fanfic of yours revised?

HAW!! No but really, it's not important which peep-le I talk to, is it?
So.
How 'bout that fanfic, eh?
But seriously though, any progress on it? I'm anxious to get a good crack at it.

Interesting. I guess you'll be rewriting the first chapter, then?
Alrighty. Let me know when it's ready to be ripped apart critiqued.
Okay, so, my thoughts on your fanfic. Only took me two weeks to get to it.
Well, it's quite well-written mechanically - the only error I saw was its/it's confusion, which didn't take away from the story. I didn't actually realize it was an Elder Scrolls crossover until the very end, to be honest. It'll be interesting to see how you handle the story.
The major thing that strikes me about it is that I don't really know who the guy is - I get a very detailed description of him physically, but not much in the way of character. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but it doesn't give the reader a whole lot of reason to be interested in what happens to him.
Honestly, it didn't seem like a whole lot happened in the first chapter - the only thing I can think to suggest would be to give the reader a better understanding of Our Humble and Suffering Narrator (flashback would probably be the easiest way).
There are also a couple of continuity things that struck me, keeping in mind my very limited experience with the Elder Scrolls:
- How does he know what a cartoon is? If he doesn't, why would he describe himself as cartoony?
- I know that Tamriel has gunpowder, and thus presumably guns, but the image of a Nord carrying a gun is really weird. It's not ruinous, but I would try to remove it from the story somehow.
Ultimate creative decisions are, as ever, yours. If one of my complaints/suggestions is borne of ignorance, please tell me so and I'll do my best to avoid bringing it up in the future.

You raise a lot of good points. Points I've been able to cover through conversation with those who've been able to read it in person. However, now that you raise them here, I can see the attention they need, so thanks.
In the way I presented the Stranger, I wanted to have him as less of the focal point of the story, and more of a teller, with the worlds he visits being more centerstage. I could use some help getting that across. Or do you think it would work better too flesh him out?
As for the Elder Scrolls, I should probably go back and try to drive the point more that he isn't originally from Tamriel, just having passed through, as he is with Equestria. Thank you for raising that point. Do you think a prologue would work? Maybe the final page of "Diary 10" which takes place in Skyrim?
Lastly, please don't look at any of your questions or concerns as ignorant, because that is exactly what I need. If my readers are confused or having trouble with what I'm putting out there, then I didn't do well enough explaining it.
Thank you for your input; I hope to hear back soon. Also, I'm hoping to have part 2 done by Friday. Unless we hit a bump with this part.

Well, I think that you can both have him be a teller and somewhat focal - for instance, he writes very formally in his diaries. If someone were as well-travelled as he, I think that something as intimate as a diary would have a lot of his character in it - political views, past lovers, dirty jokes scrawled in the margins, that sort of thing.
You don't need to kill yourself showing that he's not from Tamriel. A page of Diary 10 would work, as would an offhand mention of other worlds that he's visited. Whichever is appropriate, really. I think the latter would work better, and could also introduce the gun he carries. Even if it's just a passing mention, it's better than nothing, and certainly better than thinking he's managed to finagle a gun out of Skyrim.
Well, now that I know that it isn't an Elder Scrolls crossover, my lack of knowledge is less of an issue, so I'll definitely be able to be more confident about critiquing.

Not problem at all, man. Glad I can help after taking so long to read the damn thing.
I come before you to beg forgiveness once again. It's 11:16 at night for me (17 of February), and my plan is such:
- read through your fanfic so that I finally do that
- think about it overnight and during the day tomorrow
- get a critique written tomorrow
Just letting you know that this is my plan.

It's been more than a week, and I haven't read your fiction or provided feedback on it.
I am so, so sorry. I . . . god, I don't even . . .
It's close to midnight where I am, but I swear to you I will read it first thing tomorrow.

GASP, SHOCK, HORROR
I guess we're both kind of at fault, eh? This has a bitter irony to it.
Still, though. A writer's laziness is far more forgiveable than a reader's, and I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

Hey, don't kill yourself over it. I mean, it's good that you want to work, but don't go getting sleep-deprived.
One o'clock in the afternoon? Man, I'm jealous.
Alright then. I look forward to reading your story.
like i was a week ago oh god why

Not that I would ever have reason to, but still.

Your last PM to me kind of got eaten by FJ's message system. Could you resend it or copy-paste it here?
Ah, okay. I saw that message. I replied to that wondering if you'd be comfortable giving me editing privileges on the GDoc and I was worried that your response to that had been eaten.
So, to clarify: do you feel comfortable letting me edit the GDoc?

Lavitts, I am glad to see you as a Brony. Tell me, do you remember our little 'conversation'?
Not necessarily. I just find it interesting that somebody who I debated with about ponies, with you on the against ponies, is now a pony lover. It was quite a fun thread.
So, how are you enjoying the show so far? I simply must know.
Nice.
SO WHO'S YOUR FAVOURITE PONY LAVITTS MINE'S RARITY So do you plan on reading any fanfiction or anything once you're caught up?
Checkered past? Naw, man, good-natured trolls like you are precisely what the gay community around here need.
Love and tolerance, remember? The only experience I have with you is your current, friendly self, and there have been a lot of new gay community around lately. You'll be fine.
