Was going for a trip tomorrow, we planned it. When my brother came back we would leave the day after.
Him, me and my little brother.
But they dropped it, because they didn't see a point in it.
But I had sort of been looking forward to it. And he didn't say anything about it not being worth it. They didn't want to go, and I acted as if I didn't care, so that we could drop the chitchat, I sacrifice some of my hopes like that sometimes.. "yeah, it's ok for me. I can't do much about it if you don't want to anyway, we don't have to go" and so on.

Doesn't mean I can't have a great day tomorrow though, I just wanted to drop it all, the movie we were going to see, the swimming hall we were going to visit. Tomorrow.
I just wanted to lay in bed and feel sad, but I've decided that I don't want to, I'm not a kid anymore. I'll cry when I break. ;)

So I am kind of disappointed. But it's my vacation, I can't waste it being such a downer.

Btw, I kind of want some opinions. Not a "aww, well that's not good, want a hug?" thing..

Well i must admire your conviction in a way. And though i've done the same once or twice before in random fits of depression, i cannot approve of your brothers decision! What else are they going to do now? Just sit around with pizza and mountain dew eh?

Are there others you could do the trip with? A friend you could drag along? and there's nothing stopping you from going by yourself if all else fails. I know it's not nearly as much fun, but it's a change of pace, movies are good either way, swimming is good.... I mean i feel worse for your lazy brothers! They have mentally shed the option of going! once you do that it's hard to have as much fun, and nearly impossible to change your mind!

You still have options. so what do you think you're gonna do with it?

I live in Norway, candy is cheaper in Sweden, so we drive there once/twice a year to buy some foods and candy. Soda, and energy drinks are also popular. And our parents buy alcoholic drinks.. But we've already shopped for presents, and my brother don't need anything else, so he was basically doing it for us. And my little brother did no longer want to go, so that settled it.

The thing is that long traffic jams probably will occur on our trip, so we might just go on sunday instead. But that's the day we're gonna watch "the Hobbit", we purposely waited for our brother and skipped the premier to watch it, so we might not make it back if it's huge traffic jams on sunday, but it's not a huge possibility.

I might encourage a trip on Sunday, and just let it be there.

A little trip is better than nothing! Way to look on the bright side broski. Even if you don't get your Sweets trip in, if you can get them to a movie that you all want to see.

I envy you to have brothers, and to have a ritual that you all do together every so often. I have a sister who's 5 years older than I, so we never bonded much. Its good of you to make the most of things with them.
