Vanilla raids were made for 40, but could easily be done with 20. They were designed with the idea in mind that half the raid would be shit and get carried.

Good to raid? With 40 people you had to kill the trash mobs 1 at a time. I remember that bullshit with BT.

Now there are scenarios where 3 people can take on ridiculous odds and make the player feel heroic instead of just a weak little shit who, even after all that training and gear hunting, amounts to basically nothing.

Not to mention the instanced bosses and even minibosses are far more complex than vanilla and BC.

My only issue with the game is that Warlords basically killed the multiplayer in MMO. You can get any and all resources from your keep, you can do basically all of the quests completely solo without any challenge, and the only time you ever need to interact with other people is at the push of a button when you want to do a dungeon or raid.

Probably because (and i'm not trying to trash wow, this is just how it looks to me) they know the game is dying and they're looking for ways to isolate the current players so they don't notice how dead and empty the world is becoming.

Only thing i really miss about wow is the good ol' days of world pvp that wasn't confined to some special "pvp area" but you'd just get people together and go camp raids outside black-rock mountain or kill some dudes alt in STV and end up starting a war. But it seems the days of player driven pvp fun are dead, mostly (imo) because of PvE only people complaining about how they don't like getting attacked and it's not fair. i don't care what your excuse is if you play on a pvp server you have no right to complain about getting attacked by the opposite faction.

Actually when i was a noob sometime during vanilla wow this lvl 40something led me and a bunch of other noobs, on foot, all the way from stormwind to the barrens to kill thrall, who was warchief at the time.
Ofc i was like lvl 20something so i had no idea how horribly we were going to fail and it was just an epic adventure type thing. IIRC we never even made it to orgrimar and thank god for that.
Then later on i finally did manage it at 80, When it came to lvling i was 1000% lazy scumbag PoS we got a full raid together (which was a miracle by its own right on the shitty server i played on) and it was bloody and messy and largely unorganized but by god we did it. I rode that war-bear everywhere all the time for like the next year.

The difficulty of vanilla raids was due to a lack of a large knowledge base surrounding the game, as there began to be at BC era. The raids were difficult (Naxx), but BC Sunwell was objectively more difficult than any other tier content.

WoD raid content is significantly easier due to familiarity with mechanics and a larger knowledge base, combined with Addons and developer-implemented tutorials of sorts.

I wouldn't say you had to be good to raid, you just had to do your homework and bring a class that actually did decent in the role you selected. MC was a fun raid but the mechanics were really simple.

If you mean on reddit, the new CEO is a pretty radical SJW. She's been implementing safe-space style policies, banning subreddits she doesn't like etc. She also is forcing all employees to move to their headquarters, fired a guy that has cancer because of this, and fired a woman who is apparently pretty beloved by the community that does AMA's for similar SJW-ey reasons. So many of the most popular subreddits (one that have up to 8 million subs) are going private, so essentially shutting down in protest.

People like to say money doesn't make happiness but we both know that's bullshit! Once you get a job and a routine things fall into place, Hit the gym and just keep yourself happy and others will want to be around you!
