I see the original definitely staying 5-6, the new print will of course be cheaper.

I haven't been in magic long, but I don't get the feeling he'd drop to that much. I'm going to say around $5, I also tend to be an idiot-savant with prices.

Nobody in my group expected that Sorin, Lord of Innistrad would hit around $10 or lower and that Sarkhan, Dragonspeaker would go really low.

I also said that Griselbrand and Thalia would keep good prices, much to the disbelief of this group of people who run hundred something dollar decks.

I would expect him to get replaced for a blue/white commander. The artifact removing hexproof hurt a bit and as far as it goes he's running out of synergy options/builds.

I like him with steel of the godhead and sundial of the infinite. Then again those are the cards I had that I could throw in with him.

Also he's gonna go down in price because he features in the next duel deck, which usually means he'll be worth about 2€, maybe 3$

Hey you mother ****** ,!I'm working on a degree in Linguistics, so in 4 years I'm going to come kick your ass and take your job.

No but seriously, I didn't know a languagexplain existed. It's cool to see someone as into language as I am. How was getting a degree? And do you have any tips/advice for learning Linguistics?
User avatar #77 to #75 - advice (08/14/2015) [-]
does Linguistics mean you just speak a lot of languages? is Sign Language one? are there different forms of sign language or can I learn that and travel the world?
User avatar #82 to #77 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/15/2015) [-]
The important thing to remember about sign languages is that they basically work the same as any other language, the only thing that changes is the method of actual communication changing from oral/auditory to manual/visual. All other basic principles remain pretty much the same, with little exceptions.
User avatar #80 to #77 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/15/2015) [-]
Linguistics means the study of language and languages in general. It often goes paired with knowing several languages but not necessarily.
Sign languages are different everywhere though many sign language families share similar roots. Some examples of sign languages include Auslan, American Sign Language (ASL), and Flemish Sign Language (VGT). These languages sometimes have borders that don't exactly match political borders, because deaf communities are often somewhat separate from the hearing populace.
User avatar #78 to #77 - SuperHyperCrazy (08/15/2015) [-]
languagexplain could probably well....explain better than I can, but Linguistics is the study of language. Basically, how and/or why a language is. You might speak a lot of languages as a linguist, but polyglots are people who speak multiple languages. Not too sure about Sign Language though

My native tongue is Dutch and I pronounce it with a dutch soft 'g', even in English, because the other alternatives feel unnatural to me.
User avatar #56 to #55 - zahidlol (12/24/2014) [-]

ok, fine. imma forgive you for pronouncing it like peanutbutter

only cause you're dutch
User avatar #57 to #56 - languagexplain ONLINE (12/26/2014) [-]
I don't pronounce it like peanutbutter, the dutch 'g' does not occur in English. Also i'm Belgian.

Looks great, But languagexplain only has 1 'e' in it.

Also I'd prefer if it said something else on the bottom, I'm not sure what yet though.
User avatar #32 to #31 - sirbrentcoe (08/19/2014) [-]
what's your native tongue?
User avatar #33 to #32 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/19/2014) [-]
I don't want that to matter.
User avatar #35 to #33 - sirbrentcoe (08/19/2014) [-]
or we could do 'Exponere, et linguae Context,' 'To explain language and context' in latin
User avatar #37 to #35 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/19/2014) [-]
You just took that through google translate didn't you.
User avatar #39 to #37 - sirbrentcoe (08/19/2014) [-]
I used a English-Latin dictionary, their are variations available. Nothing for context, I did try google for that one.

Could use Wittgenstein's quote. "The limits of my language are the limits of my world." but that seems pompous again.

Maybe a pun?

Chomsky? Yeah I Noam!
User avatar #41 to #40 - sirbrentcoe (08/19/2014) [-]
I like the quote, to be honest. But it's up to you buddy.
User avatar #42 to #41 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/19/2014) [-]
"Putting the antics in semantics."
#43 to #42 - sirbrentcoe (08/19/2014) [-]
there you go buddy. that work for you?
User avatar #44 to #43 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/19/2014) [-]
Can you do some minor adjustments still? for the sake of my perfectionism?
I'd like the e in languagexplain to not be capitalized, and the first letter of Antics and Semantics to be capitalized instead.

Also the period at the end dpesn't seem necessary.

User avatar #36 to #34 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/19/2014) [-]
I like the flags very much, they're more subtle than just the list of languages.
