There is a right and wrong way to utilize the languages we have, thought he consequences of misuse are not dire by any means, they are still wrong. And of course we've been able to convey messages before spoken language was even a thing. Like how animals communicate through body language. We's animals.

You're implying this process is somehow 'wrong'. That it causes faulty language. It does not. Person A conveys an intended message to be received by person B. The intention of person A matches the message. Assuming person B is a competent speaker he will understand this intention.

I've seen the post. And the second definition of literally, is literally the opposite of literally. I feel it was a revision made after people misused the word so often. Like how they decided to add "Prolly" to the Merriam Webster's dictionary.

G.I.F.

how do you pronounce it
User avatar #55 to #54 - languagexplain ONLINE (12/23/2014) [-]
My native tongue is Dutch and I pronounce it with a dutch soft 'g', even in English, because the other alternatives feel unnatural to me.
User avatar #56 to #55 - zahidlol (12/24/2014) [-]

ok, fine. imma forgive you for pronouncing it like peanutbutter

only cause you're dutch
User avatar #57 to #56 - languagexplain ONLINE (12/26/2014) [-]
I don't pronounce it like peanutbutter, the dutch 'g' does not occur in English. Also i'm Belgian.

User avatar #33 to #32 - languagexplain ONLINE (08/19/2014) [-]
I don't want that to matter.

You just took that through google translate didn't you.
User avatar #39 to #37 - sirbrentcoe (08/19/2014) [-]
I used a English-Latin dictionary, their are variations available. Nothing for context, I did try google for that one.

Could use Wittgenstein's quote. "The limits of my language are the limits of my world." but that seems pompous again.

Maybe a pun?

Chomsky? Yeah I Noam!

Can you do some minor adjustments still? for the sake of my perfectionism?
I'd like the e in languagexplain to not be capitalized, and the first letter of Antics and Semantics to be capitalized instead.

Also the period at the end dpesn't seem necessary.
