Nigeria isnt brown but filled with black people. Tho i dont really consider them as people.

But Afrika Always had great resources but the nignogs who live their never really did anything with them. Every race has been a dominant superpower in the past except for the blacks. I wonder why....
User avatar #469 - toensix (05/09/2014) [-]
Native Americans? Aboriginals? Polynesians? Indians?
User avatar #493 - lotengo (05/09/2014) [-]
Additional, Aboriginals are to small in numbers to dominate
And ive heared native americans are a kind of Asian, not sure tough.
User avatar #492 - lotengo (05/09/2014) [-]
The first 3 dont count because they werent part of the old word.

And Indians is not a race. Tough if you really want to see it as as a separate race you dont count just India but all of South Asia and parts of western Asia/ the middle east. Including modern day Iran, the homeground of the Persian Empire.

Fair enough but I think the main reason there weren't any major empires in dark africa is that it's a mainly vertical. Major empires have always been horizontal because then the conquers didn't need to adapt to a new climate.

Inb4 Incas their empire was only 40 years old or something when the spaniards fucked their shit up.
User avatar #501 - lotengo (05/10/2014) [-]
agreed, but even if you cut out the being a dominant superpower part. Black people never made a memorable civilisation at all.
The Incas had their empire
South asia had their Persian empire
Europe had Acient Greece, the Roman empire, datculture.jpg
North Africa had the egyptians

My point is, there was/is culture and heritage everywhere. Except in lower parts of Africa. You dont have a colloseum, Angkor wat, Macchu Picchu or Pyramid in there to remind them of the mighty nignog empire from 200B.C.-500A.D.
because there was never a mighty nignog empire

While I agree that it isn't much there were in fact a few Pre-Colonial African civilizations south of the Sahara their just weren't that well known because of two reasons.

1. Their writting wasn't in any form connected to western writing and in colonial times their written history was mostly destroyed.

2. Most of them didn't leave any major buildings.

Still you're right that their wasn't much.

#6 - parallelogram (04/17/2014) [-]
The Scotti and Gaelic tribes north of Hadrian's Wall are not Celts.
#7 - anonymous (04/17/2014) [-]
neither were the Picts, or any tribes living in Britain...or anywhere else.....since the word Celt wasn't used till hundreds of years later as a generic term for anyone that lived in europe but wasn't roman.
#8 - parallelogram (04/17/2014) [-]
"a member of a group of peoples inhabiting much of Europe and Asia Minor in pre-Roman times." Definition of "Celts".

Basically the blue circles are Britons/Celts against the Romans. And the Romans won... pretty hard; in this discussion I was just saying that the picture with the Roman on the wall with the people at the bottom saying they are Celts, is incorrect.

I didn't watch it. Ended up deleting it after I found out it's reverse-harem.
I watched one reverse-harem before, but it had this "jumping between the worlds" thing so it still was just 1 guy at a time.

And what a fine job public education has done to eliminate stupidity.
#465 - swagbot (03/07/2014) [-]
People should the privilege of GIVE as much money as they want, without coercion....

...and the burden of SEPARATING their communities if that community cannot agree on the importance of education.

Therefore, some people will choose to give (note: that's not a tax but a donation) to schools in order to "Make Society Better", and other people will not...

...and that will be their choice as a community...

...and their will profit/suffer for their decisions, and they will have nobody to blame/thank but themselves

The Nonaggression Principle... super simple stuff.
User avatar #663 - ennaburning (03/07/2014) [-]
It isn't the socialist principle though, and here in the UK we are (mostly) socialists
#797 - swagbot (03/07/2014) [-]
1. Yes, i know. It's BETTER than Socialism, because you can still 'do' Socialist things in a Nonaggressive Framework, just as long as you do it in a community where people agree to it.

2. How's that workin' out for ya? Huge debt. Runaway corruption. Supporting a Royal Family. TONS of discontentment. (not to say the U.S. doesn't have its problems... but you need to shed this baseless Pride of the British. As every year goes by, you guys as we have less and less to be proud of, and more regrets).

3. You're not Socialists - most of you Brits (as well as we Amerifags) are PEASANTS - timid little souls who just want a small, warm flat and enough semi-decent food to limp through life.

THAT is how people allow themselves to be controlled, and why even in THIS Age, where things could be SO bright and beautiful, we're still wrestling with Feudal-Age problems.
User avatar #800 - ennaburning (03/07/2014) [-]
I was genuinely going to debate with you until you called us peasants haha

and the thing I am going to argue with still is that we 'have less to be proud of'
Personally I am proud of the culture and history of my country (Scotland and Britain) and I have plenty to be proud of when I look at the innovation and art that came from my country's past (:
#802 - swagbot (03/07/2014) [-]
That's exactly my point:

You are celebrating things in your PAST... while (seemingly) ignoring the fact that in the PRESENT, your country crumbles around you.

I have to go to work now....
