I agree with the guy above. I'm trying to put on a lot of muscle mass, and for that you need roughly 1 gram of protein for every pound of body weight. While I'm not getting quite that much protein, it's still really hard to do, and expensive, with meats. So, protein powders are a good way to get that extra protein. I use half of a fast absorbing protein powder, cut with half of a regular and cheaper protein powder and mix with milk for a slower absorbing protein. Good results so far, and fast recovery after my workouts.

That´s not really the case.
There is good protein powder, which in most cases is a little bit more expensive.
Good Protein powder is pure and has a high rate of protein and it should be a good protein like WHEY protein which is a fast absorbed protein or CASEIN which is a very slow absorbed protein. You are talking about the cheap protein powders. They use protein that can not be completely absorbed by our body and thats why we piss protein, because its not fully absorbed by our body not because we dont need more protein!
