Yep. I think that the only truly beneficial thing that comes out of widespread practice of religion is that it gives a mass group of people similar sets of morals and beliefs, allowing them to think more centrally. The only problem with this, is that not as many people are going to be thinking out of the box for troubling issues that decide the fate of the group itself.
