Mmmm. I'm starting to realize that I'm getting a bit too old for these sites. Being 20 on a sight where most folks are under 18 is a dangerous game, eh?

Still, it's nice when conversations occur rather that little feuds over petty things as per norm.

Personally, I enjoy browsing FJ. Once in a while something like this chat happens, sometimes good OC is posted, sometimes admin does something cool. On rare occasions the members of FJ unite to fight for something they believe in. In times like that I am actually pretty glad to be a part of this community, even if it is, as you said, filled with young adults not over the age of 18.

I like to try to remember good quotes... you know, stuff like:

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.

or

Be kind; everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Then again, whenever I get tested for social/political ideological stance I usually land smack on the ghandi area of the spectrum... I'd rather incur suffering on myself than let others have to suffer. I know I can take it, I can never be certain if others can.

I have read the first quote, but not the second. Quite interesting and gives the mind something to ponder about.

I must say that I enjoyed this conversation. Truly. Not every day you get to just sit around and enjoy a pleasant dialogue with another human who actually also wants to chat. Thank you for that.

That is actually a very noble way of handling people who are less fortunate in the aspects of actually conveying thoughts and not screaming horrible slurs in your face.

In a sense I agree with that, but I will not hesitate to destroy someone or target their insecurities if he/she threatens in any way me, my family, friends or people who are just clueless about what is going on around them.

Intellect is a gift, which can be used as a tool, but also as a weapon. He is the wisest who knows when is the time to use a tool, when is the time to wield a weapon and when is the time to present a gift.

this is why we promote public education and the pursuit of secondary education.

Not so that we personally benefit, but so that we can live in a country with a better ratio of smartasses to plebs.

if you think that was dry, you should see the shit I posted a couple days ago. Practically wrote a thesis paper on empirical standards and ethics. It was great. Everyone was having a good time. I constructed this conclusion based off of how much of a good time I was having. Since my good time was present, clearly everyone else was having a good time too.

Ah the memories.

I can appreciate that. And I also respect that. We need more like you everywhere in the world. One smartass per one regular casul pleb.
