Somewhere, a coin flipped lands on its side.
Somewhere, a drop of water saves a life.
Somewhere, a pebble stops a landslide.
Maybe someone believed hard enough.
Maybe everything is secretly fair.
Maybe the price was already paid.
Yesterday I was cold and hungry and wanted to run away.
Today I will believe enough.
Today a pebble will stop a landslide.
I will not fall today.

Crusade Comp 2
Kinda sad that all those clips are from movies/TV-Series that depict the Crusades as only something negative.
War is generally a bad thing to be in the middle of, what with the struggle and fighting and dying and stress.
Not saying that, but the point is that how they portray the Crusaders is not accurate and with extreme bias against them. An example is Kingdom of Heaven. Ridley Scott had a crew of Muslims review the movie to see that it's respectful towards their heritage. I doubt that he ever did the same with Catholics.
Oh, that's true.

Guard fuck yeah.
WW2 Soviet Military Doctrine: Equipment/Weaponry is scarcer than manpower. Equipment/Weaponry must come first , or else you will have whole battailons without supply and weapons. ( Before you say: "But in Enemy at the Gates there are people without weapons" , it's true , Stalingrad was problematic , even worse for Penal battailons , those were made to be lowest cost possible , made to disrupt the enemy line , make them waste their ammo and focus on it instead of focusing on the good battailons , Royal Guards , "Illiushyn" troops etc.)
People get that quote from Zhukov that says "When soviets face a minefield , we cross it like it wasn't there" and make it sound like Zhukov was stupid or that he wasted manpower , but thats completely wrong , all other doctrines by the time would say to find a breakthrough on the minefield so they can cross it , but when you do that , you concentrate/clutter your forces in 1 point , making it easier for the enemy to get information and strike you with ease. People try to make the Red Army look like a bunch of stupid people just charging the Germans all the time , but that "image" is convenient for the Americans (... we all know why) , in reality , yes , there was stupid people charging the Germans , followed by waves of trained and equiped soldiers. This doctrine is close to the Roman pre-marian reforms , put lesser soldiers in the front , so they tire the enemy , then bring the elite. "To the Triarii"
Remember , USA won the war , but Soviet Union defeated the Germans.
