Ah. My ex was originally going to go to the Clearfeild, Utah campus, but then we found out what it was like there. Rapes, attempted murders, riots race wars, gang wars (and not small time gangs, but BIG ones, a lot of them from L.A.. Even some Crips and Bloods there), "blanket parties" to welcome new students, and a lot of other things. We figured that we should go together so we would be safer and go to Alaska since it's one of the states with the least ghetto type areas.

Lincoln. Much better than Omaha, I was up there a few weeks ago for the College World Series.

ive only been to lincoln a few times and i've pretty much blocked it out of my memory..not the town itself, but other things..im just a few minutes outside omaha

So some suburb I'm assuming? I just got a place in Lincoln after moving back from Colorado. It's a loft and I'm moving in Sunday which makes me squeal like a little girl with happiness, but no internet until Tuesday which makes me equally sad lol.

lol..i dont consider my neighborhood a suburb..when i think of suburbs i think of a place where people have money, and seemingly perfect lives. They all drive nice new suv's or minivans in boring colors and theres nothing really that interesting about it. I live in something like that except alot poorer..we are, anyway :p and my lovely car is nowhere near a shiny new minivan <3

Ha I lived in a town called Broomfield in CO where there were 3 black people, they hated gays and I was probably the poorest person in town. My 96 Saturn can attest to that.

mines a 1993 ford taurus and we've got a love hate relationship. used to be my mom's commuting to work car for a good chunk of the 90's and then on until 2009 when the gearshift got stuck in park and all it's problems were given to me. Since then it's gone through 3 radiators, a power steering pump, both rear shocks and struts, 4 tires, a catalytic converter, the glue that holds the rear view mirror onto the windsheild, the thing that holds my visor in place, and the transmission has been ready to go for about a year and a half, and the motor blocks need replacing, my steering wheel shakes when i slow down :p

still, im gonna miss it when it finally kicks the bucket. Right now the radiator leaks like a motherfucker, goes through at least a gallon of water a day..though, what else can i say about a car thats got over 230,000 commuting miles on it? it'll start when nothing else will so long as i tell it i love it, lol

I think at that point it'd be cheaper just to get a new car. A lot of my friends are obsessed with trying to buy $15k cars and one actually did but I'm cool with my car that runs lol, especially when there are people like you with that car.
