That's a problem with all Northern and Western countries in Europe. I heard from some Germans in Finland so don't shoot me if false that the Germans have discussions whether words like "snowman" should not be changed to "snowpeople" due to sexism. In Belgium we reward criminals who beat up people in jail and racism can only be against immigrants, the other way around is not racism but the fault of the "whites". In almost every country in those parts of Europe people who refuse to work get paid more then some people who work their asses off. Do you have "equal opportunities laws" in Sweden as well? It means they should take a minority for a job even though some 'native' applied who had a better skill set and so on. Just fabulous!
User avatar #251 - totalfuckwit (01/22/2014) [-]
We do not, but we make up for it by having a godawful system for taking care of war-refugees... seriously we will run our country to the ground if that and some other things stay jesus christ

Well I guess it's a bit similar to our "Gelijke kansen beleid" which roughly translates into something like: "fuck people who were born here and don't have a handicap of any kind". A friend of mine has 20 years experience driving busses but when he applied for a public transport company they said that they couldn't take him because he was a white male. Anything else and they would have given him the job but nowadays having the best skillset for a job doesn't mean shit anymore.

Let me remind you that every country has their stereotypes.

Every person is different, yes, even in Finland.
User avatar #45 - vincetacular (01/20/2014) [-]
As foreigner in Finland I can tell that while exaggerated there is some truth in it. Finnish people don't show any emotions and have the weird habit of liking long and awkward silence. But they are friendly and usually like to listen to other people. Talking not so much. This makes them look quite aggressive and grouchy but that is not the case.

Compared to other nations Finns do, have you visited Italy or Spain for example? Completely the opposite. Well okay liking might be exaggerated but you don't mind it as much as others, most Finns I met lack the urge to start talking in such a situation and tolerate it more. What region are you from?

Nether one of the Scandinavian countries are good at showing emotion. What we are good at is distancing ourselves from people we don't know, like the neighbor you've been living next to for 4 years. Making shit loads of money, to find out everything cost shit loads of money and you end up with nothing. We are really good at compering ourselves against each other. A joke to prove what country you should move to when the times comes.

Norsken, svensken, dansken og finsken sto foran et stup.

Come to Denmark if you want cheap beer and live in a country with one of the heaviest drinking cultures in the world, yet still one of the "smartest" Smartest as in high results in schools countries in the world. Stay the fuck away from Copenhagen though, full of pretentious assholes, all the good shit is going down at Nordjylland.
Come to Norway if you want beautiful Mountains and snow and shit
Come to Sweden if you're a loser.
Come to Finland if.. Well yeah, if you hate everyone.

"Stay the fuck away from Copenhagen though, full of pretentious assholes, all the good shit is going down at Nordjylland."

Nigger are you 12? Go to Nordjylland/North Jutland if you want cities full of hipster scumbags and gray, boring, shit culture. "But muh Århus and muh Aalborg" - miniature versions of Nørrebro and Vesterbro in Copenhagen. I'll give you, Aalborg is alright, Århus is a cishole though.
