I don't think a Horus Heresy movie would ever do it justice. There'd need to be a series of films, and they'd just all be far too expensive.

I disagree with you on that, but it would be hard as fuck to translate the epicness of WH40k, especially the Horus Heresy event, to the silver screen.

They could try doing it in the style of the hobbit or the Lord of the rings. Though it would take more than 3 movies to completely do it.

Also there would have to be so goddamn many movies to capture even a quarter of the import. I mean like one for each primarch and then three for the war.

A miniseries could do it better.
