You are right, but i think its the subtle things that made it somewhat better than the prequels.

It wasn't "Perfect" but i think the way James from Funhaus put it is best "if its an exact mirror of the Original Trilogy then its terrible if they're that afraid to try something new."

yeah this actually had some fun exchanges and good scenes but the plot just didnt make sense a lot of times because it was a copy of the original and seems that there was no one to ask jj how would this and that be possible

But you are right, a lot of parts of the Story were just "Wot". Exchanging ALL KNOWLEDGE OF THE FORCE through a touch of a "bad history" lightsaber was a bit much.

And then there's the trooper, I am not sure what they're going to do with him. is he basically the Han solo main character now? Some kind of epic gunslinger? Hell i have a feeling he's going to enter the 2nd movie as some kind of cyborg.

Not to mention Maz's bar was the biggest thing that didn't make sense to me- it was COOL. but you'd think any of the jedi before would seek out this woman who has lived..Probably longer than yoda? for knowledge. "Man what is this Dart, maz?" "Its a mando Saber dart you twat, They make Clones on a planet you can find here, Good luck."

yeah i think it would be more cool if she found a way to combine her metal staff thingy with lightsaber. and that mindtrick on stormtrooper was funny i admit but it just didnt make sense. jedi train years to be able to use it and perfect it and she just suddenly has powers better than anyone in the movies. i dont really get the place of the black guy because he doesnt seem to be the jedi. rey has saber. rey has the ship. rey has force. he is kinda just..there. they were hinting on him becoming a jedi and then he just didnt do shit and rey is the deal. the maz bar was not explained or why would han go to fucking smuggling when he has a wife and a missing son and everyone knows he is part of the resistance. also i wish they didnt drag poor mark hamill into this, that scene was awkward as fuck.

Han says at one point that he went back to smuggling because it was the only thing he was good at before the Rebellion thing, he also says that he didn't want to remind Leia of their son and that he had hoped being away would make Leia miss him.

It's kind of the same with Luke; one of the kids he's teaching turna to the Dark Side, instead of sitting him down and bitch-slapping him with the knowledge that his precious Vader turned to the light before dying Luke decides to run away and let the kid become the next Vader.

Got to wonder where the force ghosts are too; would have imagined Anakin would have appeared to his grandkid at some point to ask what the fuck he thinks hes doing - kind of like Qui Gon shouting "Anakin, no" when he's on a massacre.
