I didn't care about the rest since the first had already shown to be partly false. It doesn't matter anyway, since I already agree that almost all religious share similar aspects with each other.

To everyone in this tread: Accept my sincerest apology! I had no idea the majority of FJ was butthurt religious people unable to take a joke! Honestly the daily body of content tells me that this site appeals to (somewhat) intelligent individuals, but I was clearly wrong, again I am sorry.

Funny thing is: I'm not even an atheist. I find atheism equally arrogant as any religion, only thing is those guys are at least into science and reason to further the progress of the modern society. Personally I live by the motto "Think critically and demand evidence", maybe some of you should try that....

You talk about religious intolerance when you are intolerant to any form of religion. That's like hating all white people just because there's a few stupid ones.

Believing in an invisible god, acting in his name and denying to children the facts of science is harmful to society in general!

Spoiler alert: You didn't fix it, you made it worse so you can start a shit storm.
#88 - smokerocks (04/29/2013) [-]
No, he really did fix it. Believing in a fairy tale that consists of material recycled from ancient religions is not okay. Imaginary friends are for children.

Wanna know what else is for children? Being an asshole who spends most of his day criticizing people for what they believe in. Find something better to do with your life.

You can't provide a rebuttal that doesn't involve swearing at me and making assumptions about my life, but I'm the one who's childish?

I'm also pretty sure that you sitting at your keyboard going "HUEHUEHUA I AM GOING TO TRY AND BE EDGY AND COOL BY BASHING ON THIS GUY AND HIS BELIEFS" is more of a problem than me calling you an asshole.
User avatar

I'm only speaking the truth, you're an asshole.

You're used to believing silly things just to comfort yourself, so go right ahead thinking tat.

#134 - responsibletim (04/29/2013) [-]
No, I was raised believing this and I'm damn sure going to stick to it. If you don't agree with that then oh well, not my problem. Don't get all fanny flustered because of what someone thinks.
#135 - smokerocks (04/29/2013) [-]
You're the only one who's butthurt lol. I even said "go right ahead thinking that." and you had to type up another angry response.

"Angry response."
As I said, find something better to do with your life. Go cure cancer or some shit, use your time wisely.

Um, horus was not born of a virgin, he was birthed by Isis who was impregnated by an already dead Osiris, her brother/husband, who was brought back to life momentarily.

I'm not even going to look over the rest, but they're likely to be just as lacking of credence.

#124 - ladyseraph (04/29/2013) [-]
Attis' mother was impregnated by an almond that came from a tree that grew from a demon's male organ that was cut off.
Mithra was born from a rock (well, most of the stories say that), so that doesn't really count as being birthed from a virgin.
Devaki (Krishna's mother) wasn't a virgin, she was married and had 7 kids already, though Krishna wasn't conceived through sex, but by Vishnu putting part of his mind into Devaki's womb.
Dionysus was Zeus' son. And he wasn't even birthed from his mother because she died when she saw all the glory of Zeus. Instead, he was sowed into his father's thigh so he could finish developing.

Hope you aren't too lazy to pick up a book since you seem too lazy to even share a source for your info. "Christ in egypt: The horus Jesus Connection" by M.D. Murdock.

Well according to the Bible Jesus is the one and only, the rest somehow copied him
Good logic, eh?
