My point is beyond you. that's the difference. You can't understand the simple logic. Behind these things. But I understand you completely. I know exactly what you want to say and why you want to say it. Delusion is simple. Reality is not.

You fail to see how these things have a place in the conversation? Well let me educate you. 93 billion light years. The observable universe. Merely what we can actually see. Do you know how far away and large the distance of 93 billion is? Can you fathom the scale? Do you realize how much bigger our sun is than yourself? This planet even? There are a calculated two billion planets within habitual zones and potential for life. Certainly, with the progress of evolution sentient life, much like you or I, virtually exists in hundreds of millions. All with their own ideas and fantasies.

Let me spell this out for you. The universe began in what we've found to be some sort of giant implosion, and it seems likely that this universe will collapse on itself again and blow up again. Like an endless loop. Oh but wait there's more. Apparently this isn't even the only universe, according to many theoretical physics, and potentially even dark matter it's thought that there are countless universes. And many several extra dimensions. Do you understand what a dimension is? Can you fathom another one? three more? 9 more? And maybe life exists in those folds too.

But you're probably not familiar with the science, so I'll make this simpler. Human history can be traced far enough to know that countless civilizations all had their own religions and ideas of what god or gods were. Countless DEITIES. and you think yours, mind you a book written far more recently than the oldest gods, one cobbled together from ancient texts found in one remote area of the world, literally just one place in the sands, highly edited and tweaked by the church in the age of Europe, you think this collection of random texts, you think the story of Jesus which has been calculated to be written at least one hundred or even several hundred years after his supposed life, you think THAT out of the countless of far older and archaic stories is the reality?

Of course you do. Delusion. You buy into society, you probably believe the world is headed in the right direction, you have no idea about how the world actually is. You're a fool. Just another parasite wasting resources and straining the biosphere. Mental illness. That's all this is. God is a disease, and this world needs the cure.

Even I was stupid enough, as a child, to believe in nonsense, but that's the difference, see, I grew up.
Now it's your turn.

I'm going to just state right here that there is nothing you can say that's going to make me believe any differently, and I know in the same sense that there is nothing I can say to change your beliefs.

You're right that I don't know a lot about science, but as a math minor I do know quite a bit about proofs and what makes them work. The most important details of them are that they can back up your claim and that they can't be disproved.

I believe that there is life on other planets, but I don't believe anywhere near the level of complexity that us humans are on a biological standpoint. Evolution does exist, and I know that as a fact. There is obvious proof of that and for me to doubt that would be idiotic of me. However, there is no proof that they are as advanced as humans. Simple single celled organisms could be the only things living on these planets. However, i'm sure on other planets evolution is vastly different than it is on Earth. There could be other creatures like us, but there is no proof and at this point isn't real evidence helping your claim.

Sure there are other religions, but this is the one I have chosen. I have no right telling anyone else that my belief is better than there's. It's the one that I like the best and believe is real. As a non-denominational christian I don't have any set ideas or beliefs, just what ever I believe and interpret it to mean by my own ideas.

The point of you using theoretical physics as proof is absurd. Just as the name implies, it's theoretical. If you use that as proof you are at the same point as me as just believing i'm correct.

No body pressures me to believe what I believe. I'm an adult and I can believe whatever I choose to believe. I haven't even gone to church in a while, I still believe and study the bible at home but I don't just blindly follow something someone else tells me. I know the world is a crap hole. Things are not getting better, there is so much hatred, war, and illness around. I can see why you don't believe and can see why you think that why, and I can't give you an explanation about why things happen the way they do. But without proof either way
you still haven't shown me any sustainable evidence that backs up your claim, it has all been speculation or not evidence at all
all we can do is speculate and try to get along.

If you want to explain how I am wrong with hard evidence without belittling me i'll listen, but if you continue to insult me as a person this is the last reply i'll make. I've tried to remain civil, but it's hard when you're looked down to the whole time. You really lose credibility when every other sentience is one that insults my intelligence just because of my lifestyle.

You have negative proof that he exists, everything else indicates the obvious. Like the Earth not being the center of the universe. You are delusional but because of your nuro nets you've developed and strengthened you cannot move forward.

Of course you don't. It's not like a pefect being was capable of creating a perfect world. It's all a matter of "Free will". It's all just "gods plan." therefore anything bad that happens, is just, you know, apart of the plan. So no bid deal right.

I don't think "God's plan" is a real thing though. He just made the rules and we just play by them. He gives what little he does but doesn't interfere completely. Free will of humans decides what they do without having any obligation to God, and if they want to join him in the afterlife it's their decision.

Free will of humans decides what they do without having any obligation to God, and if they want to join him in the afterlife it's their decision.

Is this supposed to be some sort of proof against God's existence?
User avatar #264 - infinitereaper (03/15/2015) [-]
You have negative proof that he exists, everything else indicates the obvious. Like the Earth not being the center of the universe. You are delusional but because of your nuro nets you've developed and strengthened you cannot move forward.

You're right that I do not have proof but I think I can say the same about you're stance. I fail the see how the earth not being the center of the earth pertains to anything significant, and that how those laws and theories you stated earlier are of any worth in this conversation. I'm actually curious as to what point you're trying to make.

"Humans have an inherent desire to know the truth, or rather what they believe to be the truth. In truth, truth comes second."

But not me. You are merely believing what you want to believe, in a game of pretend. Its just another delusion of this world. I won't even argue the point. Knowledge would be wasted on you. Me lose credibility? I'm calling you stupid for being a dumbass. You need to hear these things. The christian or Muslim or whatever God is nonsense. One day science will prove this completely.

And as far as I'm concerned, anyone who puts their own personal emotions or wants before the truth are lower lifeforms.
