That horrible feeling when people cancel a game order because the beta only showed the first FRACTION of the first act of a huge game. So many people were complaining about the lack of choice with skills, etc... Beta went up to level 13... Level THIRTEEN! You unlock a minimal amount of skills and shizz, and get a limited amount of gear. The amount on skill and character customization choice isn't reduced because you get all the skills auto-unlocked, you still have to choose what spells are best for each occasion, what runes to use with them, how to use them, etc... There is a lot more choice involved overall than in Diablo II, which I played extensively.

Even then, it has much harder difficulty settings than Diablo II had, so I'm not sure in any way what your stance on it being 'casual' is.
