That's because I wanted to get the attention of someone before showing the meaning behind that dumb post. And I'm glad it wasn't an ignorant fuck since I needed someone with some logic so I could show what I really meant with it.

I'm not going to list the reasons I'd love to live in America instead of France but it's mostly because of the difference between our cultures. Just believe me when I say I do love the US in a lot of ways.

We're on the internet, getting insulted is perfectly normal, especially when you're French ahah. Don't apologize about it cupcake.

Exactly what it feels like when people who do not know about History as much as you obviously do reduce historical events to a single sentence and since it is rarely done on the US history I thought I'd try it since it is the time when most americans are on FJ.

However I'd have to say the meaning of "losing" a war is debatable. But I'm not going to discuss about it tonight my good sir.

No, 1812 was not a stalemate, well it died out if that is what you mean, but I consider it a victory for Canada.
Mainly because the entire point of the USA invading Canada was Manifest Destiny and take control of Canada, and we (yes, I know we were a British state, but Britain didn't send anyone over, it was all people already here) managed to repel you guys.

The USA has always been bitter about the War of 1812. The modern day American will see our military as "weak" due to its size, however the training of the average Canadian soldier far outweighs that of the typical American. And our Special Forces preform on the same level. Its just that the us had 10x the military size, and has more support from it's government and it's people. Most americans forget how good a military/militia Canada had in the past, and still discreetly does today.

EXACTLY! The only reason you guys are such a military power is because you guys are ten times our population, so you get more soldiers, and you raise your kids to be nationalists believing that the USA can't be beat, and then you get a higher percentage wanting to be soldiers

Man I do know about all this.

What I meant by doing this was showing how easy it was to twist history.

If you read through the posts of most people discussing history on this thread, you'll see that it looks exactly like this. Wether it's about the US, the Brits or the froggies.
