>because it's divine

That's not an argument. Thinking like that is why the Middle East is still stuck in the Middle Ages. With that statement you've made it clear that there's no use arguing with you about it. It'd be like arguing with the Westboro Baptists.

>Women in that country were nearly second class citizens
>Now they actually are second class citizens, at least according to Western standards
Good job Islam.

Your religion, just like any other, is filled with contradictions and statements that can be interpreted in many ways. It's used as a tool of control. Doesn't matter that it's "not all Muslims" what matters is that the texts are widely used to support tyranny, oppression, and terrorism. And to add insult to injury it is actually a minority of Muslims that speak out against the terrorism and tyranny perpetuated by Islamic leaders and terrorist groups. Sharia Law is antithetical to Western Philosophy. At least Christians reach out to people and ask for things voluntarily. Islam involves things like religious taxes and jihad.

Sure it's bad to spread misinformation, but it's also bad to spread manipulative half-truths and sometimes straight up lying as I've seen many Muslims do. Taqiyya, Muruna, Kitman, Tawriya, all principles that justify manipulation to further an Islamic agenda. You can say that it's now how they were intended to be used, but then why are some Islamic leaders teaching them in that way?

And before you say "Well they're not true Muslims," there's really no such thing as a true Muslim. Just like there's no such thing as a true Christian since there are hundreds of denominations and thousands of branches. The fact is that a large portion of Muslims use or accept Islam as a method of theocratic dominance.

Muhammad and his followers were tyrants and the religion has followed suit for over a thousand years.

I can't speak for the practices of countries like Saudi Arabia because many people in the Islamic community themselves don't agree with the country and its practices.

The Quran itself has no contradictions because it is divine, but slight changes in interpretation of verses and sayings of the Prophet have allowed for differences in laws throughout history.

If you look at the actual life of the Prophet before and after his prophethood you'll see that he had the best character and preached the best things as all prophets did.

I'm not gonna come online and argue with people over the validity of my religion(it's very exhausting and to be honest I'm much better at talking with people and once again I'm not a scholar).
