Anyone whom accuses the person they are arguing with of being a child, and therefor have an inferior opinion due to their age and simply because said persons view differentiates in a way equally biased to their own, automatically loses credibility with me. Calling someone young and ignorant because you think they are wrong only shows that you lack the capability of creating a formal argument and instead have to resort to childlike (irony!) insults.

I firmly think you need to look over your past argument, ignoring the usernames, images and thumb count, and compare both of your arguments. He made a compelling argument towards the beginning while you seemed to be closing out any of his ideas. Some of your points are valid. No we can not assume we know what the kids intentions were, however you giving the kid the benefit of the doubt is as arguably invalid as remsaman assuming that the kid wants to be a psuedo-terrorist. That said an assumption could be turned to a compelling argument if either of you provided compelling evidence instead of just slapping each other. In my eyes you two are almost equally in the wrong, but you are providing terribly poor arguments.

Class does resume about less than a minute after they leave. I've been in a class where kids get in a fight and they just leave. Shit I've taken a punch(it was weak, didn't even leave a bruise. Chose not to get into a full on fight. been there done that. Win or lose, there would've been a 2nd asswhooping at my house. No thanks. ) during class and after the kid left there was small chatter from most of the class and then the teacher says something along the lines of "ok it's over now, lets continue" then after the class settles down, they continue teaching.

Chances are that this wasn't the first time she'd been a little bitchburger like that, but yes. I've been in classes where that sort of shit happened and they did go back to "normal" (read: better than with the disruptive person in there) a few moments after the person was gone.

Have you been in a situation like this where the outcome was different? If so, chances are you had a terrible teacher.

Did you even see the "clock"? To someone who's never seen a real suitcase bomb, it probably looked pretty sketchy. Plus >>#26 isn't a nutcase about the purposefully making it look like a bomb.

The kid's father is a known political activist, who has a history of pulling stunts like this, and there are contradictions in the kid's story, like he said he built the clock from scratch, when it was actually discovered that he used parts from a really old clock.

Are you fucking retarded? All that was in the case was circuit boards and wires, nothing like a bomb. But I guess it must be a bomb, and the kid must be a terrorist, especially since he's middle eastern.

Hello.

This argument has been had on this website many times.

It comes down to the fact that his allegedly homemade clock was presented in such a way that others thought it was a bomb.

And, yes, you're right, it didn't look like a real bomb. But, hardly anyone you ask will know what a real one looks like, because it's actually rather hard to spot a bomb without inspecting the object thoroughly. They also vary quite a lot, because something such as a bomb is usually designed specifically for that one job, and for just one usage. People also can't learn much about them, because many governments will interrogate people who look for information about bombs.

So, indeed. It did not look like a real bomb. But they did not know how a real bomb looked.

Also, the average person has almost no knowledge of electronics or manufacturing. They don't know what a home made project will look like. And sure, they say the clock wasn't home made, but the enclosure and rebuilding sure was done by one of them, and there's a big difference from how it looked and a professionally manufactured product.

The main place people see home made circuitry is in a movie or TV show. Often, it's part of a bomb.

Thus, If you show someone something with wires in it, and they don't know what it is, they're probably going to think it's a bomb.
