What I don't get in some fan art is that they draw Octavia... more dark skinned.

It doesn't make sense.... to me all ponies are white, fairly few have a tan.

Zebras on the other hand.

The darker the colour of the fur the more pictures there are of the pony humanitized and darker skin. Twilight for example.

But yeah I agree with you, I think it's because the voice actors are almost only white in MLP:FIM

Well if Zecora hadn't been in the show it would have been easier for me to think of different ponies as different "races".

But since Zecora is meant to represent Africans (though I doubt Hasbro wanna admit it cause racism) I can't picture the other ponies as... black or brown or... you name it.
