Even though they can relocate that is beside the point. They are losing their already established name and infrastructure, not to mention time. If they are fine with that and insist on leaving because they cannot use poorly paid illegal workforce then that is fine by me, but it sure as hell going to cost them a great deal more than just hiring people from the country they are in.

You know, just ''taking'' your business half across the planet to a different place with different people who speak different language is not that easy and certainly not preferable to adjusting to a change.

Besides, a corporation relying on illegal activity that will be no longer able to do so can fuck off if they are unwilling to adapt. If capitalism is as fool proof as everyone has it for, there will be soon another company willing to do things better and more sensibly, right?

Sure it might take a few years, which is really short in the long term, future decades view of economic growth. They don't physically relocate the factory, they rent out a factory on the other side of the world and get their engineers to modify it as necessary. If you didn't know multinationals do this all the time. The local diner can't but companies like Apple have entire branches stationed all over the world.

I'm talking about moving industries. Big companies don't hire illegals because there's too much scrutiny. Illegals are a very small problem if you take into account how big the US is.
