Nah I'll do comics still, that gif was just a test.

I will still do gifs in future, maybe within a comic.

As long as you keep doing the comics I'll keep reading them. You're pretty much my source of good humor in the form of astronomy. Kudos to you.

It actually wasn't a movie alone; it was a fanmade manga that Toriyama gave an anime adaption. Besides, I wouldn't be writing FanFiction had it not existed.

yeah colder than usual but not at all snowing. Probably around the 60s or so. That's what I hate about living here, it's 110-120 degrees in the summer and 50-60 degrees in the winter

That's why I like living where I am. Nice 90 degrees weather in the middle of summer, otherwise, it's usually high 80's.

Yeah, our schools ONLY close when its either -45, or more than 40 centimeters of snow. Basically, they very rarely have "snow" days.
User avatar #163 - kasperninja (12/09/2013) [-]
Well, our system of schools depends on whether or not the high school closes, and then the town school closes. I live in a small town, so, naturally, they usually close if it's above 6 inches or if the trucks couldn't clear the roads.
Although, the high school's 30 minutes away so I'm not complaining.
I guess I should say that I don't go to high school, but rather a "high school." I'm homeschooling, but I do go to a place that's like a "school." No grades, tests or anything. but we do have "mentor meetings", since each kid is given a mentor.
There's about 25 kids in it, myself included. Each "class" has around 4 kids, depending on if it's popular or not.
Since I want to study meteorology, they're helping me with my goal.

I hear ya, our problem mostly is we get so much snow that it either gets vehicles stuck or they skid like crazy. We have mountains of snow by the highways that are bigger than 2 story buildings and in the summer, if you dig down into the mounds of dirt and sand left behind, you can still find snow all summer.
User avatar #148 - kasperninja (12/09/2013) [-]
Well we don't get snow THAT crazy, but I guess it's something to expect. It's just fun when it snows on Christmas. Especially when school gets delayed/closed for the day. Still gotta make it up at the end of the year though...

Yeah, during our blizzard, we had active tow teams constantly getting cars and trucks out of the ditches. They said they got 16 calls an hour. It was pretty brutal.
User avatar #142 - kasperninja (12/09/2013) [-]
We get a form of black ice on our road, so it's icy but no one can see it. One December (I believe back in 2009 when we lost a pine tree in the backyard), we almost had a car strike a neighbors house. Thank god it didn't.
Another time though, they hit the power line and make the transformer go out, which resulted in a few hours without power in about 20 degrees weather. Wasn't very fun.
