Shills and Bills
Republicans spent 7 years saying they were going to get rid of ObamaCare when they got the chance. Thursday was their big chance, and they failed. Speaker of the House (kind of like a Prime Minister) Paul Ryan had a healthcare replacement bill created and revised, then tried to force it through the House of Representatives with the backing of the President. Hard-line Conservatives didn't like the bill, so they waited a bit and added a few "Conservative" measures, and then set the date for a vote. They didn't have enough votes to pass it through the house, because the bill is terrible. They (Paul Ryan, Donald Trump) knew the bill wouldn't pass on Thursday, so they delayed the vote until the next day hoping to buy more time. Hours before the vote, they pulled the bill completely, effectively killing it. After 7 years of promising to get rid of Obamacare, and 18 months of Trump campaigning on "Repealing and replacing" it, Republicans and the President failed to deliver.
The healthcare market that Reagan set up and that has been refined over decades has had the American people grabbed squarely in our collective pussies. There is constant double dipping into our wallets every time one of us steps into a doctors office. There's a co-pay (About $10-$25 per visit) for every visit upfront. Things called deductibles, basically, insurance does not kick in until we pay a certain amount of money, usually in the thousands, and that gets reset every year. Just found out you need a surgery right now, payed $2000 4 months ago in medical bills and it's February? Oh well, guess you got to pay that 2k again. And common prescription pills can be over $150... PER FUCKING PILL. Oh, and monthly subscription to insurance are around $320 if you cover just yourself, have wife and kids? That'll be $830 per month. Granted, the monthly part is usually at least partially covered by your employer. But I work at a fucking hospital, and they only cover about $350, rest is taken out of my paycheck. Oh, and the insurance companies will find any reason what so ever to get out of foot the bill. Just found out that you have late stage cancer that normally takes years to develop, but shows no signs or symptoms until it's almost fatal? Big ol' nope the fuck off with your preexisting condition!
Obviously, we the people are kinda tired of taking it up the ass in more ways than a prostrate inspection. And are demanding changes, trouble is, Obamacare was this weird hybrid of a system that tries to have it's cake and eat it too with private and public healthcare. We either need to go full board with public, or we need to address and get rid of every complaint I've mentioned and then some. Up till now, Trump care was feeling like more of the same with Obamacare, just another half a babies step in the right direction, two bounding leaps the wrong way. Hopefully this development throws off some shackles.

Everything about Trump feels like a cartoon or a meme, or something. Hence all the jokes about being in the best timeline and that we ARE the parallel universe that looks weird.
To be honest its just gritty, dirty politics and people who are in the "IN" crowd have stopped giving a fuck about standing on principle. And only now we're seeing it with a president that also doesn't give a fuck, but isn't a part of the "in" crowd and all their bullshit on top of trump's weirdness creates that feeling he was talking about.
That's the oversimplified version.
God is with him amigo
