like the article states: there are even more archeological finds (similiar skeletons) in africa that supports africa being the origin place of mankind
Basically we have some bones from africa of early homo sapiens and as we go further from africa the oldest sapien bones are newer and newer suggesting they came from africa

In the Souls games you get souls which can be used as a currency or to level up
Dark Souls II introduced the abomination that is soul memory, a mechanic that keeps track of all the souls you've collected; whether you've spent any of them or not, and limits online-play to players within the same range of your own soul memory
Now, you get souls from kills. The main mechanic in pvp is obviously killing, so by definition there's a limited amount of players you can kill before you fall out of the normal soul memory range and end up in the high soul memory range, where players have usually farmed for souls and blown up their stats, making them very powerful and generally not particularly fun to fight
See, as acquiring souls is inevitable, and soul memory is nothing but punishment*, the mechanic just punishes you for playing the game
*The idea behind soul memory was to prevent twinking, where people would go through the game and get good gear without leveling up much, allowing them to go into pvp against players of similar levels while being vastly overgeared compared to them

Seriously? I don't know, I'm quite ignorant on historical pirates.
With little else to discuss, I think THIS was the point the scene was trying to make.
"I have this notion about how the past was."
"That notion is wrong. And you've just made a fool of yourself."
I'm not familiar with the scene, but homosexuality in history has only actually been fiercely persecuted in the whole christian religious family thing (judiasm, Islam, etc).
The greeks actually hated women so much that they preferred fucking men. (Beauty in women was meant to hide how wicked and evil they truly were, while in men it was a reflection of their inner perfection (paraphrasing) it was pretty dumb.)
Native American cultures had the two spirited beings, I'm sure there was lots of pillow biting in other indigenous pillowless cultures, dunno bout the vikings but I wouldn't be surprised.
Point is, it's not about pushing an agenda or re-writing history. It's about making a brief statement on how little people know about history. If you're any indication it's pretty understandable why.
- saki over shinji? oh come on...
Anime Suffering Scale
I'd put them on equal levels. They both lived seriously fucked up lives with a lot of mental issues that don't really get resolved.
