The imploding, wasn't that also why they changed the windows for passengers from totally square to circular or rounded on the edges? I remember reading or hearing that square ones couldn't keep the pressure the same or something involving the internal and external pressures.

airplane windows have two layers one soft one inside and a thick part outside...same with the windshield in the cabin....the same system with thousands of pounds ontop will quickly ruin the seals and make the cabin implode.(yes it does exist)

Well, I suppose you could do something else instead, in a way similar to the "Invisible BMW" commercial.

A camera on the undercarriage of the plane projecting the image of the ground onto a "carpet" of LEDs in the floor of the plane, with a glass element over the LEDs for safety.
User avatar #69 - paintplayer (04/04/2013) [-]
Well you're certainly not studying grammar
User avatar #79 - envinite (04/04/2013) [-]
Well you don't need grammar when you can do numbers
User avatar #80 - kamranhalo (04/04/2013) [-]
i hate grammar and come on guys its not like your grammar is perfect on the internet
#88 - anonymous (04/04/2013) [-]
doesn't have to be perfect, we just like understanding a sentence without having to read it 3 times.
#89 - kamranhalo (04/04/2013) [-]
Well i can do that. No problem
User avatar #66 - turbodoosh (04/04/2013) [-]

User avatar #26 - frienderman (04/04/2013) [-]
Also, planes warp and flex in turbulence, so if it was legit glass or even a synthetic that's strong enough to withstand those pressures it'd crack.
User avatar #22 - PillowRapist (04/04/2013) [-]
Uh so the windows have to be thick enough?
What about the windows then??
User avatar #31 - kamranhalo (04/04/2013) [-]
windows are small and dont need to be walked and dragged sharp baggage over
User avatar #34 - PillowRapist (04/04/2013) [-]
good enough for me
i mean, who am i to argue with someone with a structural engineering degree
#65 - anonymous (04/04/2013) [-]
he didn't have a degree. he was studying it.
User avatar #11 - bullrog (04/04/2013) [-]
The cargo bay could be on top. and why can't you use the same material as the windshield and have supports every few feet? It's possible I think. but not this pic obviously.
User avatar #17 - kamranhalo (04/04/2013) [-]
its like asking why don't submarines not have any windows....they cant see below 300 meters under water and it will make it structurally unfit to be a real and effective sub
User avatar #12 - kamranhalo (04/04/2013) [-]
cargo bay on top would make the plane top heavy and hard to land ... the windshield is small and is needed to have visual reference and in case of full aviation malfunction....
having the floor made of glass would just make it difficult for some first time flyers or people afraid of heights to walk around the cabin....plane companies would lose money having the cabin lower reducing the number of seats in dangering of the passengers.... imagine a 600 pound golfer with cleats on ...that plus the pressue of the outside air and the cabin pressure could kill everyone on board

#16 - klldarkness (04/04/2013) [-]
Seriously dude?

Let me help you out on this one. Girls like one thing. Attention. Doing things for them, gives them attention.

So, i give you my one step program to winning, and keeping, "The girl".

1. Learn. To. Play. This. Song.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMwI1DlZpyY

It's three chord progressions. Simple, really. Just need to get the timing down. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU CAN SING.

Learn it. Play it. Put her name in the place of Konstantine.

BAM! You win.
User avatar #18 - kamranhalo (04/04/2013) [-]
thanks dude i have never had so much help im freaking out right now because its long distance and some guy kissed her and im just shaking to death now
#19 - klldarkness (04/04/2013) [-]
Eh. Let me give you some advice.

Long distance relationships do not work. At all.

Also, seeing as you're upset, i'll fill you in on something. Your relationship? It's already over.

You will ALWAYS wonder, if something else is going on. The trust is gone. It will never come back.

That's not a good relationship.

It's better to break it off now, cry it out, buy a piano, find a chick closer to home, play that song, and live happily ever after. Besides, it's a useful skill. ^_^
User avatar #20 - kamranhalo (04/04/2013) [-]
everything is ok now thanks man you saved a life ....without you i dont know what i would have done
#22 - klldarkness (04/04/2013) [-]
Eh. *Shrugs*

If you say so.

On the off chance you do actually decide to take my advice, here's the sheet music you need:

It's a PDF.
